117. DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO MAKE IT OUT OF HERE ALIVE

Chapter one hundred and seventeen

"Do whatever it takes to make it out of here alive."

The two landed in the water, making it to shore, the two saw a building, as they headed inside there was a giant light fixture on, as they headed up the flight of stairs into pitch black darkness, music could be heard, as they walked fully in and over to the giant window "welcome home." a robotic man voice said, as Rick and Scarlett stared at each other, thunder cracked "I can't believe I did that." Scarlett said, shocked "I can't believe you did that." Rick told her, angry, a chime could be heard "your preferred temperature will be reached in ten minutes." a robotic man voice said.

As Scarlett and Rick looked away from each other, Rick put his helmet down, Scarlett walked off, Rick checked for his emergency button but couldn't find it "shit." he said, following her "what the hell is this place?" he asked "you tell me." Scarlett told him, walking past the kitchen and finding a bathroom, with a huge shower, a double sink and a toilet, walking over to it, she flushed it and it went, as Rick was in the kitchen, he turned on the faucet seeing there was working water.

Scarlett walked out of the bathroom and to the right, seeing fancy curtains, behind them was the bedroom with a king size bed and a closet, she walked in, as Rick opened the fridge, seeing it was empty, Scarlett opened the closet finding clothes, she sighed, taking the gloves off her hands and tossing them to the ground, she began taking the rest of the military uniform off.

Rick walked to the left, finding an office with book shelves and as desk that had a bunch of paper work and open books and a computer with some kind of map on it, Scarlett took off her shirt, leaving her in a black sports bra, Rick looked over, seeing her through the curtains as she took her pants off, he looked at her, seeing all the cuts and bruises she had, including the x branded into her back.

Scarlett felt eyes on her, as she turned, making eye contact with him, Rick let out a shuddered breath, looking away from her, Scarlett had put on a pair of jeans and a white sweater, looking down at the pile, she grabbed her emergency call system and walked out, holding it up "your missing this, hmm?" she asked, as Rick stepped toward's her, Scarlett threw it at him "I broke it." she told him, as Rick ducked, letting it hit the wall behind him "long before we got here but I know you'll still try to make it work so go ahead." Scarlett shared, walking toward's the living room.

"You said they need their mom. But then you..you said he's a baby. Called..called out for Daryl..said I wasn't real." Rick shared, as Scarlett turned to him "you dying on me, the way you did, messed me up. But I had to be strong because I had three kids and on the day a crazy lady tried to take them away from me, I gave birth to our son. And I was so out of it that I named him Rick, after you. Because you were dead. And as far as I'm aware you still are." she shared, turning and walking away, Rick followed her "you think I didn't wanna be with you? I tr...I tried everything! We need to go back." he told her.

As a chime could be heard "your preferred temperature will be reached.." the robotic male voice was saying "what the hell is that!" Scarlett shouted "where is that thing!" Rick shouted, putting his hand on his head, turning to her "I told you not show them who you are, and you break the kill record, you grab the R DIM from Thorn, and nearly get yourself killed. I'm trying to get you out of here alive, and you pull us out of a god damn helicopter!" he yelled "the walkers are because back home there is a crazed woman who wears walker skin trying to kill our people, she had Siddiq bury them alive. Where I had to find them on my own and dig them up. So I let Negan out of his cell, knowing he was the only person cable of killing her!" Scarlett yelled.

As Rick stared at her "and disobeying Thorn? She couldn't do it! And she was gonna get you killed and I wasn't gonna stand by and watch, again and again! And I made a promise to our kids that I'd either get you back or I'd die! So no I don't wanna get out of here alive if it's not with you!" Scarlett yelled "you think I want this?" Rick asked, as a chime could be heard "your preferred temperature has been reached." the robotic male voice said "I know you don't. Jadis took the choice away, and when I said it, you tried to make me think that it doesn't matter. But it does matter. If I had killed her the day after.." Scarlett was saying, taking a deep breath "she wouldn't of found you. Daryl..Daryl would've found you. But no, she's got you trapped, all over again." she shared, her voice breaking, as tears fell down her face.
