This time I will protect them I won't be a coward

The strong scent of hospital disinfectant and incessant tapping on the phone wakes Denki up.

He blinks twice at the white ceiling of the hospital and turns his face to the side to see an IV drip connected to his right arm.  Denki pushes himself up to sit up. He hears the phone cluttering on the pristine floor and turns to see Lizzy looking at him in disbelief and say, "You are awake?. No you are awake!".

She immediately presses on the Nurse call button and immediately goes to hug Denki and say, "Oh thank God you are awake. You have been passed out for two days, Aunt Kiko and I were so worried about you. When we received the call from both the hospital and police informing us that your class has been attacked by the villains and you were badly injure-". Suddenly she realises and immediately lets go of Denki from the hug. While Denki looks at her confusedly.

Lizzy starts stammering, "Your your lichenberg scars? Are you in pain? Did my hug hurt you?.

Denki smiles at Lizzy's innocence and says, " I am fine. I don't feel anything at the moment, it must be due to the heavy pain medications".

Then Denki's eyes fall on a bouquet of yellow roses and  black cupcakes box with chocolate and strawberry cupcakes inside it and with an orange sticky note placed on top of the box and a little teddy bear plush with a get well soon card placed in its little paws.

Seeing Denki staring at them . Lizzy informs him that his homeroom teacher Mr. Aizawa and some of his classmates had come to visit but due to no visitors allowed policy they could not enter the room and handed the bouquet and cupcake box to the nurse and Lizzy also tells him that cupcake box was from the spiky blonde haired boy and the little teddy bear was from the Greenette boy with freckles on his cheeks.

Denki moves his hand to pull the sticky orange note from the box and reads it.

The sticky note read:
       

𝙶𝚎𝚝 𝚠𝚎𝚕𝚕 𝚜𝚘𝚘𝚗 𝙺𝚊𝚖𝚒𝚗𝚊𝚛𝚒 𝙳𝚎𝚗𝚔𝚒 S̶u̶n̶s̶h̶i̶n̶e̶!

Denki smiles at the sticky note and pats the teddy bear on the head with his IV connected hand and covers his eyes and  starts laughing soon his laugh turns hysterical. While Lizzy stares at him with a worried expression and her hand could be seen slowly itching towards the Call Nurse Button.

Soon the nurse enters the room and does some series of checkups on Denki and tells him he is fit to go back to his house.

Lizzy had already booked a cab which was waiting for them at the entrance of the hospital. Both sit in silence.

Denki grabs his phone from his sweater pocket and turns his phone on.

When his mobile screen lights up, he is shocked by 1000+ message notifications from friends and their class group.

He clicks on his class group messages and reads the latest two messages posted  a few minutes ago about the Sport festival event.

Then Kaminari Denki gets hit with the realisation that tomorrow is the sport festival event.
