One hour into the bus ride,

Denki sat at the very end of the back of the bus lost in his own thoughts,

'Any minute they would soon reach the cliff side of the road' .

That's when he is broken away from his thoughts by the growling sounds his stomach was  making. He had not eaten much since he left the hospital in the early hours of the morning after getting discharged immediately from the hospital even though Recovery Girl was strictly against the idea of letting him go to the training camp but he needed to be there. He needed to save his classmates from the Villain Vanguard squad that's why he pleaded like a little kid in front of Recovery Girl even resorted to throwing tantrums if plan A did not work. But eventually it worked in the end.

He sighs and finally gets up from his seat  and walks up to the front of the aisle seat and sets himself down with a thump next to Kirishima Erijiou.

The red haired boy looks surprised to see Denki sitting next to him. It was as if he was not expecting him to sit next to him.

Denki winks at him and turns to Ashido Mina and asks her in his soft voice, "Ashido-san do you have any cookies and cream pocky flavor left?".

Ashido Mina nods instead of replying because she did not trust her mouth  What if she blurts out something and what if her actions hurt Denki's feelings mentally so she quietly digs into her backpack and hands Denki the cookies and cream pocky sticks.

Denki whispers back, "Thanks". And opens the packet and bites into the stick chewing on it quietly.

Denki could see Aizawa sensei looking at him from the corner of his eye before turning to look forward in front of him.

"Um".

Denki turns to look at Kirishima Erijiou who looks worriedly at him before his red eyes immediately move away from his scarred neck bandage and musters up the courage and asks him, "Dude are you feeling ok?".

Denki hums for a while. Then grins at the boy next to him and says his next words very carefully with such precision that the whole class hears him say, "I feel much better as long as you don't ask me about my scars". And with that he goes back to munching on his pocky stick happily despite his throat feeling like a raw sandpaper when he tried to  swallow the food down his throat.

His whole classmates just heard the whole conversation between him and Kirishima Erijiou and they all had one single thought,

'Did he implicitly threaten us against asking about his scars'.

Then, everyone goes quiet clearly shaken by their sunshine's strange behavior. They all frowned in their minds as they felt Denki was putting up an invisible shield around him.

After a few minutes they all were asked by Aizawa Sensei to step down from the bus.
