Denki makes a beeline towards his room with the black cat tightly held in his hands before anyone can take notice he brought a freaking cat into the dormitory building.

Denki unlocks his door and locks it back again and sighs .

The black cat takes a look around its surroundings and leaps out of Denki's frail hands and lands elegantly on the floor.

"Ah" says Denki when he feels the weight of the cat immediately disappearing from his hands.

The black cat roams around his room and starts sniffing the cardboard boxes and his freshly washed clothes lying on the floor.

Before something catches it's eyes and it dashes under his study table and pulls out a sequence turquoise keychain which Midoriya had gifted Denki after the shopping mall incident.

Denki kneels down before the cat grabs the keychain away from the cat's mouth.

The black cat blinks its monochrome eyes lazily at Denki and meows softly and jumps on top of his bed and curls its body and goes to sleep.

'Well that was interesting' thinks Denki and proceeds to grab an ice pack from the mini fridge to place on his bruised cheek.

And sits down on his bed heavily and checks the time and to his astonishment soon it would be time for dinner.

Denki decides to avoid having dinner with friends and chooses to have a light dinner into at the hospital cafeteria during his break.

He had like two hours to kill so he sets his alarm and takes a quick nap beside the already sleeping black cat.

'I can't always keep calling it black cat. I should probably give it some kind of a name' thinks Denki tiredly and closes his eyes.

Before he fully goes into his blissful sleep, he hears a soft voice echoing in his head, "My name is fate".

...

Denki groans when he feels a soft pawn on his face hitting him lightly and soft purrs coming from the cat, who now sits on top of his chest.

For some odd reason his whole body ached and he felt light headed.

Denki opens his eyes groggily and stares into the worried monochrome eyes of the black cat no the cat's name was fate now.

'Were cats capable of showing emotions? He must be imagining it'  Denki thinks while absentmindedly running his fingers on the soft fur of the cat's body who in return purrs.

The cat now brings it's face close to Denki's and sniffs and jumps to the side of the bed and curls its body again and watches Denki with its monochrome eyes shining in the darkness of his room.

That's when  Denki alarm goes off.

Denki gets up and turns it off and his phone screen lights up and shows two messages from Midoriya and one from Bakugou Katsuki. Denki clicks open the latter's messages which demanded him to come down to eat with one curse and two curses inserted in the message.

Denki chuckles at Bakugou's typical message.

'You're such a tsundere  Bakugou' Denki thinks with amusement twinkling in his eyes as he reads the message again.

Denki chooses to avoid opening Midoriya's message as he was still crossed with him.

After some time getting used to the darkness of his room Denki gets up and stretches his body and heads to have a quick shower and gets dressed in black scrubs and puts on a white jumper.

When he steps out of the bathroom and he sees fate to be nowhere in sight.

The cat must have hidden itself somewhere.

Denki suddenly felt his energy coming back to him.

Denki stares at his fingers. Just what was happening to him?.

Denki shrugs it off for now and he double checks his  pockets to make sure  if he has his id card, pro hero licence, hospital pager, his phone and lip balm in his pockets.

After confirming he has everything that he requires and needs.

Denki does a little happy dance as he will not see anyone in the common room due to the curfew and steps out of  his dormitory building and lets the chilly air of the night kiss his rosy cheeks and nose.

...

Denki hails a cab outside the school building and gives the directions and name of the trauma hospital.

During the ride, Denki lets his forehead touch the glass window of the car as he watches the quiet and empty streets passing by.

Tonight is going to be a long one for Denki.

But the poor boy did not know what was inevitably going to happen to him after midnight.

Denki had miscalculated. He should have informed someone about his internship duty.

All class 1-A students were asleep beside a green haired freckled boy who stared sadly at his phone as his friend had seen his message but not replied it.

The poor boy's quirk was going berserk from the inside raging in a deadly unknown anger.
