Hearing Denki words, Midoriya, Kirishima, Tsuyu and Uraraka stared with pale concerned faces.

"KAMINARI-KUN, wait are those purple bruises around your neck!?".

"Denki-chan,are you okay?".

"Why did you not tell us about this?. I thought we were classmates".

"Dude, that was a manly move, but you got to trust us with these things".

A shared, sharp glare from both Eraserhead and Sir Nighteye made the four UA interns flush red with embarrassment. They mumbled their apologies and sat down.

Kaminari Denki, unfazed by their concern grinned like a mischievous angel. With a glint of amusement in his voice said, "Now you have solid evidence against  shie hassaikai  and their counterfeit transactions. This also secures Eri-chan's protection. Her custody under UA's care away from the Hero Commission".

He paused deliberately before adding, "From the Hero Commission's tainted claws".

Everyone in the meeting room held their breath, struck by the way Denki uttered, "Hero Commission" as if it were something sweet and sharp like a croissant laced with poison.

Sir Nighteye cleared his throat and brought the attention back to the planned  raid on the  Yakuza hideout.

He instructed Denki to wait outside. who Denki simply gave a cheeky salute and replied, "Roger sir!".

He stepped out of the room, pausing at the door.

His warm honey golden eyes met a pair of concerned emerald ones. And then he was gone.

Denki made his way to the lounge, the electricity in his veins just beneath his skin.  He sank into a bean bag and pulled out his PLAN BOOK from his Messenger bag and ticked the box labeled Mission : Secure Eri.

Then he grimaced. A pressure had begun to  build behind his eyes.

A MIGRAINE!

"Sheesh, a migraine? Now? Seriously?", he  muttered, pinching  the bridge of his nose.

His healing quirk was roaring in his body. Like a silent storm rising before the thunder hits.

Hunched over the beanbag sat Denki felt everything grow too loud. The traffic outside. The laughter of  middle school girls chattering about makeup and Pro Heroes. The  ticking of the clock that sounded like a time bomb. The muffled voices behind the meeting room door. The shuffling of feet.

And then- he froze.

The door creaked open across the hallway.
