Sage smiled as she looked over her team's current levels as she pulled out her Rotom Phone and asked it to display the latest stats for each Pokémon:
Charizard: Level 36
Pidgeot: Level 36
Pikachu: Level 35
Wartortle: Level 35
Shadebark: Level 34
Espeon: Level 36
Wow, we're all so close" Sage murmured with a sense of pride swelling within her as even though Wartortle hadn't evolved yet, it was clear her team was in prime shape to take on the fourth Gym.
Sage's eyes lingered on Charizard, the powerhouse of her team. Now that Charizard could Mega Evolve, Sage felt more prepared than ever.
Her fingers gently brushed the Key Stone hanging from the necklace around her neck as the stone sparkled in the light and it reminded her of the bond she shared with Charizard.
That special connection was what made their Mega Evolution possible and Sage couldn't wait to use it in battle.
We've trained so hard for this moment" Sage said aloud. "This next Gym will be tough, but I know we can do it."
She looked around at her Pokémon, all of them standing proud and ready for whatever challenge lay ahead. Pidgeot flapped its wings, soaring lightly in the air, while Pikachu stood with its cheeks sparking. Espeon had its usual calm, determined demeanor and Shadebark growled softly as it was ready for action. Wartortle was focused, waiting for its time to shine and Charizard gave a powerful roar of determination.
I'm proud of all of you," Sage said, giving each Pokémon an encouraging smile. "Together, we're unstoppable. Let's go and show that Gym Leader what we're made of!"
With that Sage recalled all her Pokemon as she began walking towards the underground path that will lead her to Celadon city.
