Tim Bradford:
Hey, I've been trying to get in touch with Lucy. Is everything okay with her? She's been distant lately.
Celina Juarez:
It's... been rough, Tim.
Bailey Nune:
She's been struggling, but she didn't want anyone to know.
Tim Bradford:
Struggling with what? She hasn't been answering my calls, and I've noticed she's not herself. What's going on?
Angela Lopez:
She's been going through chemotherapy.
Tim Bradford:
Chemotherapy? What do you mean?
Nyla Harper:
Lucy's been diagnosed with cancer, Tim. It's been tough on her.
Tim Bradford:
What? Cancer? How did I not know?
Celina Juarez:
She didn't want to tell you right away. She's been keeping it to herself, trying to keep things normal.
Bailey Nune:
It's advanced, Tim. She's in the middle of her treatments right now.
Tim Bradford:
What stage is it? Why didn't she tell me?
Angela Lopez:
It's Stage 3, Tim. She's been getting chemo at the hospital, and it's been a lot for her.
Tim Bradford:
Stage 3? How is she holding up?
Nyla Harper:
She's trying to stay strong, but it's been hard. She's exhausted, in pain, and dealing with a lot more than she's letting on.
Tim Bradford:
I can't believe this. She should've told me. I could've been there for her.
Celina Juarez:
She didn't want you to worry. She's always been like that. She wanted to protect you from the burden.
Bailey Nune:
She's not good at asking for help, Tim. She's been doing this alone as much as she can.
Tim Bradford:
I don't know what to say. I should've been there for her.
Angela Lopez:
She needs you now, more than ever. Just be patient with her.
Tim Bradford:
I'm going to be there. I'll be with her every step of the way. She's not doing this alone.
Nyla Harper:
Just don't push too hard. Let her come to you when she's ready.
Tim Bradford:
I'll wait. I just need to know she's okay.
Celina Juarez:
She's getting through it, Tim. But she's going to need you when she's ready.
Bailey Nune:
We've got her back. You can count on us to help her through this.
Tim Bradford:
I won't let her go through this alone. I don't care what she says—she's going to need me, and I'll be there.
