Akari took a deep breath. 

Okay, what had Kakashi sensei taught her?

Accept the reality in front of you, no matter how strange or impossible it may seem. 

Then analyze.

On her first mission as a team lead from the Sand Village. Which was about conducting a through survey of Jashin followers. All people in that village were devotees of Jashin. They were dead, but could still move around and serve into Jashin's will for a while after. The source for their temporary energy was Jashin's chakra. 

What was the energy source here?

Inabi Uchiha said he is one of the thousands of reanimated shinobi. And they are being controlled by Kabuto. What was the source of power for reanimated shinobi?

She had read about the reanimation jutsu before. Edo Tensei. Needs a summoning ritual and a live sacrifice.

If thousands of shinobi had been brought back, that meant that there were thousands of live sacrifices. How did Kabuto get his hands on so many live sacrifices? Akari could think of a few possibilities. Either he could have taken over the civilians and children of one of the hidden villages. Or he found a loophole to generate a huge number of "live sacrifices". 

Doesn't matter, either way, she could not reach the summoner (Kabuto) or the live sacrifice to destroy the Uchiha standing in front of her right now. 

"If you are a reanimated shinobi," she started carefully, slowly grabbing his wrist with her hand to free herself of his hold around her neck. "Then this Kabuto is the one controlling you. Why is he wasting his resources on trying to acquire a summoning? Too much free time?"

Inabi gracefully took his hand back, tilted his head and scoffed. "You're smart for a kid. Kabuto agrees with me that having wolves on our side would be useful. Your forces hesitate to kill things that aren't White Zetsu don't they?"

"White what?" 

"Plant-like creatures that Madara Uchiha created using Hashirama cells. They are carrying the war, honestly."

Akari paused. Living sacrifice. Huge scale. Probably these White Zetsu things were it.

She couldn't eliminate the living sacrifice at such a large scale and at an unknown location on the shinobi front anyways. She had to engage with him now. 

What were the other conditions for a reincarnation jutsu to persist?

Cells or DNA of the target. A living sacrifice. A soul that is in the afterlife.

Akari paused. Wait. 

What are the ways of a soul to not be in the afterlife?

If the soul is sealed. 

She glanced back up, making sure her Sharingan is activated. 

"What are you getting out of this?"

"I'm just having fun. It's incredible that I can torment them even after my death. Now, only if you would get out of my way, little girl."

Akari scoffed at the blatant dismissal and pulled her mask up. 

"Make me."

"Eiichiro, eliminate her," Inabi Uchiha commanded to the scarred wolf behind him, lazily turning back and waving his hand.
