Frank put his hand on Hazel's shoulder. He didn't like the look on the doctor's face. Frank was not prepared for the worst. Hazel wasn't much better. She stroked the small bump on her belly lovingly. She shook uncontrollably, and Frank wrapped his arms around her, as if to keep her warm.
"Mr and Mrs Zhang. I'm really, really sorry."
Hazel put her face in her hands. She sobbed and cried like it was the end of the world. Frank felt tears run down his cheeks as he nuzzled his face into Hazel's curly hair. It had only been four months. Four months, and this happened. He would never be able to see the miniature Frazel running around. He would never get to see his supposed firstborn child. His little, precious one. Gone.
