Once Rachel became The Oracle of Delphi, she saw the future for Percy and Annabeth. She saw them through the years, dating for 3 years, going to university together, getting married, having kids. Growing old, together. But what she could see was happiness. Pure, genuine happiness. The way Annabeth looked at him. The way Percy kissed her. Although she wasn't allowed to love now, she couldn't help feeling a little sad. Of course Annabeth had been there since the beginning. But she wondered whether she could have been with him instead. When she 'dumped' him, her throat felt dry. But she forced herself to do so. She let them stay together. She wanted them to be together. Though her feelings for Percy had faded but still a little remained, she wanted him to be happy. It made him happy. It made her happy. And she couldn't help smiling. And with that she gained two friends who were more loyal to her than before. She was truly happy the way she was now.
