"We're almost there, according to Festus."

Whirr-whirr-creaaaak, came Festus's reply. With Calypso behind him, Leo steadied the course and stared on ahead. The blinking lights and tiny cars below him made Leo think in awe. He was finally here. Well, almost.

And he didn't come alone. A happy metal dragon and a beautiful immortal girlfriend were with him.

"That's great." Calypso said but her tone said it was anything but great. Leo guessed she was nervous, and he knew three reasons why. First, Leo was a crazy ding-a-ling who didn't really know what he was doing. Second, he didn't know the consequences of bringing Calypso with him. Third, he had brought her along with him, so he was probably going to be killed by the gods and her.

Nevertheless, it was too late to change anything now. Calypso had packed her suitcases and according to an update from Festus, they were about half an hour from Camp Half-Blood. Leo decided that before they arrived, he'd better calm her down.

"Are you nervous?" he asked her.

"What do you think, Valdez?"

"You're nervous."

"Obviously."

"Don't be nervous."

"Shut up."

Leo knew she didn't mean it in any bad way -he was used to people telling him to shut up- but he couldn't help but feel nervous himself, and for the worst particular reason. He had never had a girlfriend before so this was definitely something new to him.

"It's gonna be fine..." he said, but he was unsure of it himself. Then, a firmer, more optimistic and Leo side of him took place. "It has to be fine. I know they know I'm still alive. They have to believe that."

They stayed silent for a while and Festus made more whirr-creaks.

"Festus says... we're almost there."

He expected no response, but instead, a barely audible cry began to fill the air around him. He turned around and saw that Calypso was crying. The Calypso was actually crying. Little Miss Sunshine herself.

Leo was surprised. From his days in Ogygia, or whatever since time was difficult there, he saw only a tough girl with a feisty attitude. Even though he saw her cry like, 2 times only previously. The first time he saw her cry... she was gardening. Like, stabbing dirt gardening. Another time... the memory was blurry but she was talking about... him. Leo clenched and unclenched his fists. He had long forgiven him. It didn't matter. Wait, there was a third too, now that he thought about it. He swore he saw tears in her eyes as he left on the raft.

"Hey, what's wrong? I know I smell bad but the oil and the grease-" Leo attempted at making a joke but he was cut off by Calypso.

"No, no, I'm just being stupid, I'm honestly fine. It has nothing to do with your putrid scent." Calypso wiped her tears but more fell freely down her cheeks. She wiped them also, but to end up as a useless attempt. Leo frowned. "Putrid scent?" When she didn't answer, he thought, Okay, not a good time to make jokes.

Leo faced her and gently took her hands. "It's gonna be okay. Everybody will love you, you'll see! I could build a house in the forest, or we could transform Bunker 9 into our home. It just a little cleaning, that's all! But with a bit of Valdez magic, the place will be good as celestial bronze in no time."

Calypso sniffled in response.

"Then we can finally open Leo and Calypso's Garage?" Leo attempted desparately.

Once again, Calypso started to cry. But this time, it was accompanied by soft laughs in between. "Of course. I'm just so... overwhelmed. I'm away from Ogygia. After a few millennia, I don't know how to act away from my island. What would I even wear?"
