Crazy_Fanatic asked me to do this once again, so I will do it. Chapter is dedicated to her :) I hope you guys like it. I really have no idea why or how I wrote that. Sorry because it's short. If I have time, I'll try to rewrite it. If I have an idea, that is. By the way, this takes place still in Elysium. And since previously it was in Zoë's POV, this time it will be in Luke's. WARNING: It's very cliché.

"Luke! Get your finger out of there!"

"You said it again! I'm so proud of you."

"Stop it, Luke!"

"I'm so proud of you..."

Luke Castellan and Zoë Nightshade were in the kitchen of her villa. After their 'meeting' not too long ago, they actually became great friends. Best friends in fact. Zoë was cooking and Luke was just watching her. Back in the mortal world before she died, Zoë was actually a pretty good chef. She cooked for her Hunters when they were out somewhere and always achieved good praise. Luke actually liked seeing her do what she liked. Her hands reached for the salt and pepper shakers, then suddenly grabbing the spoon in a mixing bowl. She stirred and her other hand reached for a knife.

Right now, she was making lasagna and Luke the little mischievous devil he was, dipped his finger into the bowl where she had her sauce. There was a reason why he did it.

"Did you even wash your hands? Oh my gods Luke.."

And reason was right there. She had finally mastered the 'you', 'your', 'you're' and plenty more instead of using thou, or thee, or thy. It took him a while to teach her, but some way or another, he did. He even taught her slang! Now you couldn't even tell she was from the past. Except for the way she pronounced them. It was cute, like a little French girl speaking Engslish. But it was hard for her, he could tell, but he was seriously annoyed with "Thou shall not.." and "Thy name reminds me one of a raccoon I met." It was really getting to him.

Back to the present.

Zoë, exasperated, was multitasking seasoning, dicing, stirring, adding and keeping her eyes on Luke before swatting his hand away from the sauce bowl. He smiled and did it again before he saw the look in Zoë's eyes. The I'm going to KILL you look. She stopped everything she was doing.

"Does Thou know..."

He was in trouble now. She only spoke with old language when she was angry.

"... that I am not only good with a bow..."

He gulped as she reached for a knife.

"... but also hand to hand combat?"

And he was out. Out of the kitchen, of the house, out into the neighbourhood. Zoë was screaming "I was only kidding!" from inside the house but he was not taking chances. That girl is weird, he thought. Beautiful and awesome but weird. And she's in my house. I can't die when I'm already dead in Elysium, can I? I don't want to try. Half an hour later, he went back in, carefully and shut the door. The kitchen lights were off, and there was no sound.

"BWAH!"

Zoë came from his left so suddenly he almost peed his pants. Screaming, he ran to the kitchen because it was the nearest place there was. He slammed the door, locked it and slid his back against the door. He noticed that on the counter top there was a plate of fresh lasagna. Attached to the plate was a note.

I'm sorry?

He smiled. He unlocked the door. She was waiting outside. "Forgive me?" she asked. "Apology accepted." he replied. She smiled a really big smile and looked beautiful wearing it. He couldn't resist it. He wrapped his arms around her and kissed her. Her eyes were wide open but eventually they closed. He pulled away, sensing her shock and went bright red. Oh my gods, I kissed my best friend! he thought, panic stricken.

She too, was like a tomato. She blushed bright red. "S-sorry, I didn't mean to like, you know, do what I just... did. It just sort of... happened." Luke stammered. Zoë's shock faded. Now she was smiling a little. It grew bigger, and bigger until she was giggling. "Apology accepted." Her blush completely vanished.

She hugged him there, really tight, but it was more of an affectionate one, not the friendly kind that they always did. He hugged her back. He was unsure at first but he did it anyway.

She let go and entwined her hand with his. "Now," she said "Shall we have dinner?"

She brought him to his kitchen, where more dinners like this were to happen frequently in the future.
