One day, when Percy and Annabeth were happily married and living in their own house, their 14-year-old son Mitchell was going through 'the stage'. No, not puberty. Well, maybe a little. He was in love. Hopelessly in love with his best friend of 5 years.
So that day, he consulted his dad for advice on dating. "Well son," Percy smiled. "Your mother and I started dating when we were your age. We knew each other for about 5 years before we went out, just like you. It was pretty tough. She hated me." Just then, Annabeth walked into the room.
"You annoyed me. Then I tolerated you for a few years. Then-"
Mitch groaned. "Mom. Man to man talk here. Can you leave us alone?"
"No. It's my business to know about my son's love life." Annabeth walked across to an armchair seated herself comfortably in it. "How do you know we were talking about that anyways?" he retorted. Annabeth's eyes flared dangerously. "Mitchell, don't speak to me that way. And are you forgetting that your grandmother is Athena?"
Before he could respond, Percy cut in, obviously wanting to avoid an argument. "Okay back to dating advice. When you start a relationship, go easy and smooth. Don't rush things. Take the girl out for a date." He glanced at Annabeth, who was fiddling her thumbs nervously. "Try not to have it in underground sewers though."
"What?"
"Our first date. Complicated."
"And make sure that no other boy tries to take her away. Be fierce. Punch him in the eye if he does so. Nobody likes it when somebody tries to steal your girl."
"Percy, I don't think that's going to work. If he punches-"
"He has the right to! How will they stay together?"
"He can resolve it in another way. He could talk with the boy and his girlfriend."
"Oh yeah and let the guy beat him up while the girl runs away with him?"
"That is not going to happen!"
They continued their arguing while Mitch sat there awkwardly, waiting for them to stop. Pretty soon it was clear that they were not going to stop. So he got up, went out the door and jogged to the only other place he could think of.
"Aunt Piper? Can I talk to you?" he called out, knocking on the door.
The door opened and Piper smiled warmly. "Why hello Mitch. What brings you here?"
"Well I sort of have a love problem and I need you to help me. Mom and Dad are arguing again."
Piper sighed. "Come in." An hour later, Mitch's problem was fixed and he was ready to go home. Before he went out though, he asked her something. "Aunt Piper, how were Mom and Dad when they were younger?" Piper looked troubled. "It's hard to describe. They loved each other a lot. Did your parents ever tell you that your dad went missing when he was almost 17?" Mitch nodded.
"Well, your mom.. did you know what she did when she found him? She kissed him. Then she judo flipped him. Then she threatened him. Then she almost kissedhim again. It's quite hard to understand their relationship." Mitch nodded, but he still wore a blank expression. "Thanks, I guess... now I know." He was just walking out when this time, it was Piper who called. "And Mitch, they survived Tartarus. Did they tell you about their experience?"
"No. They could have told me my whole life but they didn't."
"Ah," Piper said, her eyes glinting mischeviously. "They certaintly told me. But let's save that story for your next visit, shall we?" She waved goodbye and almost shut the door. "And I can't believe they didn't tell their son. What kind of parents are they?" she joked and shut the door for real. And now Mitch could seriously not wait for his next visit.

Do you know what that means? Piper will be telling Mitch what happened in Tartarus. IN ANOTHER CHAPTER! How will Percabeth react?
