Even though she had confided in Nico what had happened to her father, what he did and what she had done to him, she still felt guilt, unhappiness and remorse. She didn't know how she brought herself to do it, or how she had the guts to do so, even after all he did. But what he always said, "...you are a Ramirez-Arellano...", stuck in her head longer than she thought. That was true, she was a Ramirez-Arellano. She was still her father's daughter. She was still a part of him, as he was with her. Maybe he was right. Maybe she should have tried harder. Maybe she should have lived up to his expectations. Maybe she should have tried being perfect. But it was too late.
He was gone, and she knew that somewhere inside her, she was gone too.
