When she was apart from Percy and then reunited with him, Annabeth thought of Meteor Shower, a two-minute song by Owl City, which comprised of just, "I can finally see, that you're right there beside me. I am not my own, for I have been made new. Please don't let me go, I desperately need you."
She never did want to let go of him. She felt incomplete. But she never fully realized that to Percy, that feeling was absolutely mutual. To him, it was infinity percent, if there was such a thing. He never wanted to let go of her either. He desperately needed her just as much as she needed him.
