*Somewhere far, far away.*
"Nico, I'm scared."
"I'm scared too Hazel."
"H-how did we e-end up like this?"
Nico sighed. "I don't know. We just did." He started shaking his head. "I'm so, so sorry Hazel."
"Y-you have n-nothing to be s-sorry f-for."
Another spirit appeared out of nowhere, and Nico jumped up to shield his sister, now in the worst conditions. It was a rogue spirit, and if even Hades himself could not control them, let alone his son and technically, daughter. The spirit had another master, someone of which they swore on the River Styx not to speak of. They were both weak, but Hazel was worse. Her whole body was scratched and bloody and her breaths were all uneven. The same could be said for Nico, the bags under his eyes growing darker and literal life essence seeping away, though he was still stronger. Nevertheless they were both running out of power. The last life out of them were slowly getting sucked out, and Nico had to use every bit of his strength to protect two lives at once.
"Hazel, are you ready to let go?" he asked seriously, his voice dripping with fear.
"W-what?"
"You're in pain. I just w-wanted to know. Because I can't stand seeing you like this. But if you want... you can still..."
Hazel's big round, golden eyes bore into his. "I-I think I am."
Nico nodded. "Are you sure? I'm sure I can't make it, but you still can. I can transfer all of the remaining life in me to you and you can live happily."
"Y-you're an idiot, N-Nico, if you t-think I'm letting you g-go just like t-that." Hazel coughed out blood and leaned against him.
Nico smiled weakly and held back his tears. "Very well. If that's what you want. But Hazel,"
"Yes?"
"I'm afraid we're taking the long way home. It's not going to be easy."
Hazel started crying. "It's okay. It-it's okay, Nico. I understand."
"Okay. See you soon, Hazel."
"You're the best big brother ever. Thank y-..."
And there the daughter of Pluto sucked in her last breath, her older brother the son of Hades shortly following after. They held each other in their arms, the younger sister holding on to her dear older brother, unwilling to let him go. They closed their eyes with the image of the living world around them before shutting the image down and returning home. For good.

I guess I wanted to make another family relationship headcanon because they are cool.
I'll give you a cookie if you manage to figure out what inspired the title of this chapter.
Like, seriously I'll give you a KitKat Oreo cookie. Or cookies.
Or unicorns.
Would you like a unicorn?
And just a side note, for those of you who don't know, I am continuing MariaRobin's book Percy Jackson Moments [2] and updates will probably start soon enough. I am very sorry for the delay, it's just that I'm having an honestly, really, really bad writers block. And I'm sick. Why am I always sick?
