You And I (Thalico/One-Shot) Pt. 2

Nico stood there dazed as he registered what just happened. Did she just...? No she couldn't have. It must be his imagination. Seeing as he had no point to go back, he trudged into camp.

As he approached the Big House where Chiron was, he stumbled across Percy and Annabeth, who stopped in their tracks when they saw him.

"Nico," Annabeth started nervously, "what are you doing here?"

"Can't I visit my own time-to-time home?"

"Nonono I didn't mean it like that it's just that you rarely come by."

Nico shrugged. "Fine. Why do you sound like you just killed somebody?"

Annabeth and Percy exchanged looks. "Um we gotta go so if you don't mind um bye." They ran off but Nico could hear Percy faintly saying to Annabeth, "That was a close one. We almost blew it."

Nico watched them go down to the archery range, where Annabeth taught the younger campers and Percy taught swordfighting nearby. Nico decided to cancel his meeting with Chiron. He'll tell him at campfire.

~~Time lapse~~

Nico went to the beach. Dinner just finished. Tonight there was capture the flag but he didn't join. He liked the beach better. He often went there to clear his mind of thoughts. Like how he liked Thalia. He wasn't very... soft. But he just broke down crying. Suddenly, there was a rustling sound behind him. He wiped his tears and turned, hoping it wasn't her. But alas, there she was.

Thalia sat down beside him. He decided to strike up a conversation. "Hey."

"Hey. What are you doing here?"

Nico shrugged. "I could ask you the same. I come here to relax. Aren't you supposed to be playing now?"

"Nah. Didn't feel like it."

Nico looked at her. She looked so beautiful. Her hair was shimmering under the moonlight, her blue eyes sparkling and giving off a reflection of the sea.

Nico took a deep breath. It was time. "Okay Thalia I know you're a hunter and everything now but I wanted to say..."

"Wait I have to say something as well."

Nico smiled. "On 3?"

"1...2...3!"

"I LOVE YOU."

"I quit the Hunters."

They stared at each other. "What?" they both said in sync. "I like you." Nico stuttered. He waited for a response, but he got none. Oh, he thought, I really blew it off this time. "I should go now I-"

Thalia who was still in shock grabbed his hand and pulled him down. "You do?"

"Yeah. I understand that this is awkward. I should rea-"

Thalia shut him off with a kiss. "Don't. Please. I've been keeping this in for so long. The reason why I quit was to be with you. The only people... I've ever told are Percy and Annabeth." Nico now understood why they were both acting that way.

"You like me too?" Thalia nodded. "Thalia, I-I never knew. I thought you thought of only as a cousin." Nico cupped his hand over Thalia's cheek and wiped her forming tears. "I called you that to hide what I truly feel. I never had the courage to tell you." Nico smiled. "But that doesn't matter now. All that matters is that we're together." Nico kissed her. Then Thalia spoke up.

"Thank you Nico. I love you."

Nico kissed Thalia's forehead and hugged her. "Love you too Thalia."
