Chapter 1

I still remember how perfect my life before is. I was the daughter of the multi-billionaire, Mr. Benedicto Romualdez. At early age, I already owned textile business. I owned a flower shop located at Laguna. I even owned a resort in Batangas. At the age of 19, I was a candidate for cum laude. I have the sweetest boyfriend--- Peter Enrile. Everything I have before is perfect. But, everything was ruined.

My boyfriend left me for his career in Korea. I was proud, knowing he'll be one of those successful actors. Then, three months after he left, I found out he's staying with his ex-girlfriend. He followed her and that tore me.

Since then, I could not able to focus on my studies. My grades decreased so fast. I lost my chance to be a cum laude. My mother and father hated me for that. They got all my businesses and left me with nothing. Insane right? Just because of that title, they abandoned me. Great!

All left to me was my Furniture Store I built when I was in first year college. My parents didn't know about it, so they didn't have the right to get it.

Step-by-step, I was learning to cope up. I learned how to live without branded clothes and bags. I learned to eat without searching for desserts. I learned to walk 3 kilometers a day just to reach my store. I learned everything I need to learn. I learned to face all the problems by myself. Thank God, I'm still alive

"Mommy! Mommy!" I was back to reality when I heard him shout. "Mommy, look! Isn't it beautiful?" He showed me his hand full of pink petals.

"It is, honey. Where do you get these?" I asked.

"A lady gave it to me. She said I was a nice kid."

"She's right. Anyway, do you want to go somewhere here? We can go to mall. What do you want?"

"Really, mom? Yes! I want to go to mall. I want to have a new sketch pad for my drawings."

"All right! Mommy will just change clothes and we will go. Maayos na naman ang suot mo eh. Gwapong gwapo na ang baby ko kaya hintayin mo lang ako, ha?"

"Opo, mommy!"

Kinuha ko na lang sa maleta ang isang blue pants at white chiffon blouse. Tinernohan ko 'yon ng beige ballerina flats. Sandali akong naglagay ng light make-up bago puntahan ang anak ko sa living area.

"Let's go, Sheen?"

"Okay, mom!"

Hinawakan ko na siya sa maliliit niyang kamay at sabay na kaming lumabas ng unit namin.

We just arrived here yesterday from Ireland. We've stayed there for six years since I got pregnant with him. I just came back here to visit my business I built when I was a college student.

Glow always reported me how my business went through. She is one of my best employee. I gave her the authority of managing my business since I was gone. She loves our business like I do. She does the things I supposed to do, but she doesn't complain. She always tell me that she's doing it because I helped her a lot and her family. Well, I don't treat her as one of my employees but my family. And I'm really excited to see them again.

"Mommy, when can we see ninang Glow? I badly want to give her my pasalubong," my son asked while we are eating in a restaurant.

"Maybe tomorrow, honey. Ninang Glow didn't know that we already arrived here. I want to surprise them."

"Really? I should be quiet when we have video call. She'll surely ask when are flight is."

"Yeah. Finish your food, honey. I'll buy you some clothes and sketch pads."

"Okay mom!"

My son is five years old. He is still young, but he really talks like an older one. He usually get mad whenever I sleep late. He always tell me to eat on time. And he never forget to give hugs and kissed whenever I go to work.
