I will keep you in my arms as you keep me in yours. -Ms. Cari

_____________

We're back to Xareen's point of view.

Everything was set according to Pauleen, from the venue to the entourage. I cannot wait to see my bestfriend in her long white gown---crying while walking down the aisle. This is all she wants. A simple, elegant and lovely wedding.

I did everything I can just to arrive in the Philippines before her wedding day. Of course, I won't forgive myself if I miss her special day.

"Mom, do I look handsome?"

God! He is the tiny version of his dad.

"You look perfect, honey. Who helped you fixing your bow?"

"Tito Ge--- Should I still call him tito? Or Ninong?"

I can see how innocent he is. He is smart and all. But, still a kid. He wonders on small thing.

"Ninong, honey," I replied.

"Ah. Ninong Gerald fixed it for me. And it's really funny seeing him with his shaking hands. Is he nervous? Shouldn't he be happy?"

"Honey, of course he is happy. Genuinely happy. You will not understand it right now. But, soon."

"Okay. Can we go to the church na, mom?"

"Sure."

"Let's go, mom. Let me be your escort until daddy arrives."

I was stunned for seconds. Yeah! I will see him in minutes from now. And I don't know what will happen. I don't know what already happened to us. I haven't heard any information about him. And it makes me really uncomfortable.

Two o'clock is the scheduled time of wedding. 1:45 when the organizers ask us to take our position. The bride is about to come and we're all in our places. Except the fact that I don't have a partner. Tss!

I think he is not coming. Walang ilangan.

At exactly 2:00 PM, the entourage started. As much as I wanted to see my son in his tuxedo, I wasn't allowed. Gian took the privelege to take shots of my son.

I took another look around--- searching for his presence, but I just got disappointed. He is really not coming. What do I expect?

I was about to take my first step, when someone grabbed my arm and clinged it to him. I was surprised. He came. I thought he would just abondon me.

"Don't look like a happy kiddo, Ms. Romualdez. Maglalakad lang tayo. That's all."

"...Ms Romualdez."

"...Ms Romualdez."

"...Ms Romualdez."

Ms. Romualdez? Seriously?

I was occupied the whole wedding ceremony.

I know in the first place na I deserved his cold treatment. I mean, kailangan ba namin bumalik sa umpisa? Sa Mr. Lim and Ms. Romualdez? Iyon na ba ang bago namin endearment?
