"You're on in ten Mrs. Underwood." A crew member said as he knocked on Carrie's dressing room door.

She let out a sigh, standing up off the couch.

"I have to go, I'm on in ten. I love you." She said into her phone, her voice a bit shaky from the breakdown she'd had earlier on the phone with her husband.

It had been almost a month since Carrie and Mike had seen each other, which was longer than they'd been in a couple years. It was especially hard this tour with Isaiah, and they hadn't meant to go a month apart but his schedule had gotten changed and kept them practically at opposite ends of the country.

It didn't usually bother Carrie this much, they'd been apart for months at a time when they were dating, but for some reason today she missed him more than anything.

"Go kill it, I love you so much Care, I'll see you in three days." Mike said with a smile on his face. It killed him to know his wife was hurting, and as much as it hurt him to listen to her breakdown on the phone, he refused to ruin the surprise he had planned.

"I love you too. I'll call you later, goodbye." She sighed, doing her best to sound happy as she hung up the phone.

She knew she had to toughen up and stop being upset, she couldn't go out on stage the way she was.

Three days, three days, I can make it three days. She told herself as she walked out of her dressing room and through the tunnel to her spot underground.

Hearing the roaring crowd above her quickly made her forget all about her breakdown, and the blood started pumping as she got hyped up like she always did. She could feel the energy all throughout the crowd. She was in her element, and was happier than ever could be.

Mike kept his focus on the road as he drove towards the arena his wife was playing in. He glanced at the clock which read 8:35, knowing she had just gone on stage and he had about an hour.

His stomach was in knots over how she would react. Although Ivey convinced him multiple times she would love it, he was afraid it would be too much.

"Sometimes you think life can't get any better than it is right now, and sometimes you're just really wrong about that." Carrie spoke as she took in the view of people cheering around her.

"My husband I welcomed our son last February, and it's a kind of love and a kind of happiness I didn't even know existed until it knew it, until I met him, until I held him." Carrie couldn't help but smile as she continued to talk about her son.

Mike, who was now waiting under the stage, smiled widely as he heard his wife speak of their little boy. Nothing made him happier than Isaiah and the love his wife had for him.

"And this was all going down about the time I was making this album, and I swore I'd never write like a baby song because that's what everyone wanted me to do, but I just couldn't help it. So I'm gonna sing it for you guys right now, he better be in his crib asleep right now, but I'm sure he knows he's got a special song out there for him." She said, taking her seat on top of the piano so she could watch the slideshow she'd created.

"Never pictured myself thinking about dressing in white." She sang, and instantly felt tears fill her eyes when he saw the first picture of her and Mike. She knew she would never be able to make it through the song and instantly regretted singing it tonight.

Carrie pushed through the rest of the verse, but as soon as she hit the chorus her voice cracked and she knew everyone had heard it.

"I'm so sorry." She choked. "It's been a rough day and I haven't seen my husband in a month and I'm just really missing him."

At that moment, Mike knew he had to go before she broke down completely in front of 10 thousand people.

The stage rose up, and suddenly he was in the spotlight surrounded by an arena full of people.

Carrie's hand instantly went to her mouth, the microphone nearly dropping out of her hand as she gasped.

She forgot everything around her and ran to her husband, giving him a giant hug and kissing him, quickly pulling away when she remembered she was surrounded by thousands of people.

"Surprise." He whispered while he held her tight against him, smiling as he planted a kiss on her forehead. They were both happier than they'd been in a month, and nothing could ever replace that special moment.
