A/N: You don't know Elijah is a vampire in dis but you find out. You're human like Matt. However, everyone knows about the supernatural but wants to keep it from you. Bitches, right?
"So how's everything with you and Elijah?" Caroline, my best friend asked.
I started dating Elijah a few months back. Everything was going great. He was the perfect gentleman. He'd bring me flowers and small gifts which was sweet of him.
However, through all the kindness and charm, I felt like he was keeping something from me. It made me feel like I didn't really know him as well as I should. Like he was hiding a huge chunk of his life away from me.
Of course I wanted to know, I'm only human and my curiosity eats away at me but I didn't want to seem like one of those girlfriends who prodded and poked at their boyfriends to find out information. I wasn't like that.
"We're great..." I sighed, trailing off.
"But?..." Caroline questioned.
"Don't get me wrong, he's amazing and charming but...I feel like he's hiding something from me. Something big." I explained.
Caroline shuffled in her seat awkwardly. "It's probably just family problems. He doesn't want to bore you with them." Caroline suggested.
"Do you think he's cheating on me?" I gasp.
"WHAT? NO! Elijah is a lot of things but he's not a cheater. He loves you too much Y/N." She replied quickly.
I looked down to my lap and nodded sadly. "I just get the feeling that he doesn't trust me." I huff, staring to get frustrated.
"Maybe he's just trying to find the right time to tell you. You know what men are like, dumb and clueless." Care joked.
"That's an understatement." I giggle and we both laugh. "Thanks Care, you really know how to make me feel better."
"Anything for my bestie." She chuckled.
"Y'know what? Imma go to Elijah right now." I said, getting up. Caroline nodded and said goodbye to me. I left the grill and got into my car, driving to the Mikaelson mansion.
When I got there, I headed up to the house without knocking cause I was always welcome since I was Elijah's girlfriend. I closed the door and set my car keys down on the table next to the door.
"Elijah?" I called out. Nobody answered so I assumed they were further into the house.
Suddenly, I heard loud banging and crashing coming from the study. I jogged into the room. It was trashed with books and broken glass shattered all over the floor. I gasped as I saw Elijah and Klaus fighting. There was nothing unusual about that, they always fought.
But this fight was different. Both brothers were using inhuman speed as they ran towards each other and threw one another across the room. Elijah had his shirt untucked, covered in blood and his hair was messy. He pinned Klaus up against the wall by the neck. I didn't know he was that strong.
Then it happened, Elijah's brown eyes turned Crimson red and dark veins appeared from under his eyes. He opened his mouth and blared fangs. Klaus did the same but his face was different, his eyes were golden and had more fangs.
'What the hell? What are they? This isn't happening! I'm dreaming! Wake up! Please wake up!' I begged in my head.
Klaus was the first to spot me. "Well brother, looks like you've got some explaining to do." He smirked, nodding toward me.
Elijah tensed and slowly turned to face me. His face reverted back to normal. "Y/N..." He breathed, taking a step closer to me.
Seeing this, I took a large step back, fearful for my life. Tears filled my eyes. Elijah noticed my fear and froze. "Please listen to me." He said in a low voice.
