Your POV

"Kol!" I squealed as I ran into my boyfriends arms.

"Hello Darling." He chuckled, as he picked me up, spinning me around whilst in a hug. I giggled and tightened my arms around him.

"I take it that you've missed me?" He smirked when we finally pulled back. I nodded, crashing my lips onto his.

He kissed back with passion and lust. My lungs screamed for air so I unfortunately had to pull back. "I've missed you too love." He smiled.

We'd been dating for about a year now. He'd recently gone to New Orleans to see his brother Klaus for some vampire business.

"How was New Orleans?" I asked as we sat down on the sofa.

"It appears Niklaus is trying to reclaim his throne. He's having a little trouble but that doesn't matter. I managed to get away to come see my favourite human." He smirked.

"I'll take that as a compliment." I giggled. We spent hours watching TV and cuddling.

I'd missed him so much. He'd been away for weeks but to me it felt like years. For those weeks I just practised my magic, learning new spells and making myself stronger.

"Kol look what I learnt." I said all giddy. He backed away expecting an explosion which made me laugh.

I ripped a cushion open, pouring the feathery content out on the sofa. I closed my eyes and chanted a few Latin words. I felt the feathers rise and float in the air. My eyes opened to see Kol looking around the room in amazement. He laid his dark eyes on me and grinned.

"Beautiful and amazing. How did I get this lucky?"

"Wait, there's more." I explained.

After a few more Latin words, the feathers had collected themselves and stuffed back into the pillow, where the threads stitched themselves together, making it look like the pillow was never ripped. I giggled, giving Kol a look that said 'ta da'. He chuckled.

Kol told me all about New Orleans. The festivals, the other witches and his family's home. I listened to his soothing accent, slowly drifted off to sleep. The last thing I heard before the sleep consumed me was;

"Goodnight Darling. You're the love of my life. I hope you know that."

I woke in the morning to the smell of pancakes.
I rubbed my eyes and pulled on one of Kol's shirts. Then I walked downstairs to the kitchen where I saw a shirtless Kol, cooking. Wonderful thing to wake up in a morning to.

"You know love, staring's rude." He smirked, not looking up from the stove.

"How did you know I was here?"

"I can hear your heart beat Darling."

"That's cheating." I giggle as I sit down on a chair. I placed my hands underneath my chin as I lent on the table, watching Kol. He placed a pancake on a plate and brought it over to me.

"You made me breakfast?" I asked, happily. He nodded. "Aww Kol your so sweet!" I cooed, digging into my pancakes. They were delicious.

"Oh my god these are amazing! I never knew you could cook."

"Anything for my beautiful girl." He winked.
