You couldn't help but stay frozen in both embarrassment and shock. The monster children had sat on their respective chairs, and were now staring intently at you. They were patiently waiting for their new teacher to begin.

When you were taken to the mountains, you hadn't expected to be led to such a wonderful place as this. Even less you could believe this, when seeing a small, silver plaque with the words 'Professor __________' engraved on it. You thought it was a dream, in fact, as you took an immediate glance at a certificate that read 'Auxiliary Mathematics Teacher'.

You couldn't believe that such wonderful contents could be found on that yellow envelope that had been set on the picnic table. Most of all, you couldn't believe that in just one week, you could be led to such a beautiful place and stand in front of such a lovely classroom. It was all too wonderful in your eyes, and you wanted to cherish it as much as you possibly could.

The classroom was a bit small, and there wasn't any space left for another desk to be placed. Even so, it looked welcoming and comforting, with its simple, yet homey, cream walls, and its cement flooring now painted gray. It was a simplistic, yet practical place, which gave you determination to commence the class.

"He- Hello there, children. My name is __________, and I'll be your Mathematics teacher for this school year. I hope we get to know each other, and make the best of our year together!" you finished your slightly-rehearsed introduction, while feeling relieved that you hadn't become a stuttering mess.

"Now, I will be asking for each of you to introduce yourselves. Starting from the first row. . ." You pointed towards the first chair to the right of the classroom, where a skeleton child stood seated in.

"H- Hi! I'm Bradley. . . Bradley Hand!" the skeleton child shyly exclaimed, whilst lightly tugging on the blue scarf tied around his small neck.

You smiled and nodded warmly in response, thus signaling to the child sitting after Bradley. To your surprise, it was the monster child you had seen playing with Frankie and Frisk back at the welcoming party.

"Yo! The name's Billy, but my friends call me Monster Kid! Nice to meet you, teach!" the arm-less dinosaur child greeted, having recognized the familiar face, as well.

You nodded once again, both in acknowledgement and appreciation. Doing the same actions again, it was now the turn for a small, snow white bunny to introduce themselves. The bunny perked up their ears, ecstatic to talk with the teacher.

"I'm Snow! Snow Puff! It's nice to meet you!" the bunny cheerfully greeted, seemingly holding the urge to continue speaking.

The introductions continued, as you enjoyed each and every one of them. The first day composed itself mostly of introductions, which made for a peaceful, first day of work. Once you  finished with these actions, seeing as there were only twenty minutes left of class, you decided to only begin with a recap of what the children were supposed to have learned on their earlier school year.

The children were ecstatic over telling their teacher what they'd learned, which led you to call your pupils one by one instead. Needless to say, you felt quite overwhelmed and joyful. You had never met such a lovely group of children willing to learn and listen. Knowing that they were to spend a whole year which the ecstatic monster children. . . it filled you with determination.

Soon, however, the clock reached ten in the morning, making the bell ring right on cue with it. The children all happily said their goodbyes, and scurried away to their next class. Even though you had three other groups of children left to teach, you couldn't help but feel an attachment to your home group. You'd instantly grown fond of the energetic group of children, and your mind could only think of the future that awaited them.
