(Also, I was going to make the 'twice a week update' yesterday, yet I felt this chapter was missing something. I'm still trying to figure it out, but for now. . . Hope you enjoy!)

     "Hey, I'm I'm only sayin' this to let you know how I used to think. Now, I-" the short skeleton was interrupted by your hands touching his.

     "I understand." you reassured him, though your quiet tone said other wise.

     You, however, still decided on doing this. As much as his words impacted you, there wasn't much time to feel sad nor angry about it. You had to focus on more important things. Hence, why you gently squeezed his hand, and offered him a smile.

     "You're lying, aren't ya?" he questioned, his tone coming off a bit tired, yet worried.

     "No." you reassured once more, though the lack of eye contact disapproved of your actions and words.

     "I understand if you're angry. I mean. . . What I said to you wasn't so. . ." he trailed off, quite unsure on which way to continue on.

     "I'm not angry. . ." you mumbled, your voice as low as a whisper. "I'm just, well, confused. I honestly don't know how I should feel anymore." You chuckled dryly at those last words, for they sounded quite incredulous to you.

     After having ate and paid for the meal, the two of you exited the building, now appreciating the cool, humid air of the town. The sky, however, did bring worry to your eyes, for there were many dark clouds close by, and the humid wind signaled it was soon to rain. Seeing this, you decided to clear the doubt in your mind.

     "Do you think the storm might reach this town?" you questioned, curious as to what would be his reply. "It looks exactly like back when I rode with you to the police department."

     "Well, to be honest, I think it might. The storm back at the city didn't seem to be completely gone. . ." he replied, as the two of you took a few steps aside to let people go inside the building. "I've sometimes wondered if. . . nature's tryin' to tell us somethin'?"

~~~~~
     The two of you began to walk along the sidewalk, seeing as it was about to rain soon, and your home was a bit far away. You enjoyed the silence that'd formed along the way, seeing as the two of you had less secrets kept between each other. Yet, as you were stopped by a green light on a crossroad, the silence was taken over by an angered voice persistently calling out for someone to stop.
