The two of you stood seated on the waiting room's sofa, eagerly in wait for the medical results. You were looking at your brand-new glasses through the reflection of the glass table, while Sans was distracted by playing with the strings of his ocean blue jacket. As you both waited, you decided it was best to thank the short skeleton next to you.

"Thanks for looking for another pair of glasses..." you mumbled, feeling regretful all of a sudden. "To be honest, I don't feel like I'm fulfilling my part of the promise."

"Eh? So ya still remember that ol' promise?" Sans curiously asked, once looking up from his jacket strings.

"I still do." you replied, while slowly nodding your head. "And it makes me feel terrible."

Sans faced your hesitant gaze, and once doing so, his grin widened.

"Aw, c'mon kid." he began, while scooting closer towards your side. You, on the other hand, looked at him expectantly. "You're a good egg." he added, thus messing up your puffy hair with his bony hand.

You looked towards him, once fixing up your hair. Once doing so, a small smile played on your lips.

"Does that mean I'm... eggcellent?"

Hearing those words, a chuckle quickly escape from his teeth.

"Nice one, kid. But I bet you can't crack any more of them."

"I admit that was the only yolk I had." you replied, with your eyes hinting mischief.

Just as you were both about to continue your war of puns, the secretary called your name through the speakers. Hearing this, you quickly lifted yourself up from the couch, and headed off towards the secretary's desk. The nurse was already there, while holding a yellow envelope on his hands.

His smile seemed a bit off, which instantly piqued at your curiosity. However, those questions playing on your curious mind were soon answered, for once the nurse spotted a certain skeleton waiting from afar, his smile faltered greatly, and it afterwards twitched in disgust. Seeing this, you couldn't avoid the words that escaped your lips.

"Is there something wrong? You don't seem very amused." you coldly questioned, surprising yourself with just how bitter they came off.

"Uh... No, no! Everything's fine. I'm just a bit tired today." he mumbled, seemingly intimidated by your hostile tone.

Not wanting to waste any more of your precious time with such sickening people, you gently took the envelope away from his hands, and prepared to take your leave.

"Thank you. I'll be sure to check these out at home." you stated, your tone indicating that you didn't wish to converse any longer.

Having taken a firm grip on the envelope, you headed off back towards Sans, who had an expectant look on his skull.

"Everythin' good?" he curiously asked, once seeing you return so quickly from your calling.

"Yeah... I just don't want to be in such a stuffy place anymore. I'll read these papers later." you replied, feeling as if your heart was being squeezed by a wringer.

Certainly, you wanted to do something better than that.

"Well, alright then." he spoke, his grin now representing his understanding. "Think you're well enough to walk to the car?"
