"Did mom know about this?" Tanong ko sa kanya habang magkausap kami sa living room. Tinapos namin ang breakfast meal at lumapit kami sa tahimik na pwesto na kung saan pwede kami makapag-usap.

"Not yet."

"Kailan mo balak sabihin sa kanya?"

"When the right time comes, I guessed." Sagot nito.

"Nasaan siya ngayon?" Tanong ko kahit na alam kong nasa Pilipinas siya ngayon.

"Alam kong alam mong nasaan siya ngayon, anak." Sabi niya at bigla bumilis yung tibok ng puso ko.

If he finds out that mom is not in New York, he will be a monster and he will destroy her.

"New York." Sagot niya sa tanong ko, "She's in New York, of course. Saan pa ba?" Tawa niyang dagdag.

"I want to know about you... being Alexandra's father. The truth."

Hindi pa rin ako naniniwala. Ayoko maniwala. Hindi talaga pero paano kung totoo talaga?

He smiles, "Me and her mother used to bang around the room."

"Can we skip that part?" Nandidiri ako.

"In full honesty, I loved Catelyn, her mother. But I'm in a marriage contract and she knew about it. Ayaw niyang maghiwalay kami pero kailangan. So, I left her. Days had passed, nagkakabutihan kami ng nanay mo. Your mom, Meredith, she was already pregnant before our wedding."

"Pero paano nangyaring anak mo nga si Alexandra?"

"Maghintay ka dahil I'm just getting started." Tawang sabi niya.

"Sa dinami dami mong ginawang masama, natutuwa ka pa nyan?"

"The pain that I've caused you, anak, it's because I want you to learn."

"Learn what? To be humiliated, to be belittle?" Inis na sabi ko.

"I want what's best for you, for you to be strong. Before, I'm willing to give you the business that you deserved pero tinanggihan mo. But now, you already have 7 businesses." Tawa niyang sabi ulit, "How ironic is that?!"

"I have a reason for that." Sabi ko sa kanya.

"Reason or not, you're still a businessman."

"Well, so?"

"Even you stole a lot of money from me..." Huminto siya at pinagpatuloy niya, "I'm proud of you, son. That so." Ngiti niya

First time ko narinig sa kanya yun, first time niyang sinabe sakin na proud siya. I feel overwhelmed. Hindi ko alam kung ano mararamdaman ko dahil matagal ko nang hinihintay yun pero ngayon, na nasabi na niya, I can't contain my happiness inside.

"Thank you." Sagot ko.

"Pero, hindi ako natutuwa na girlfriend mo ay kapatid mo. That's so fucking insane." Sarcastic niyang sabi.

"Dad, I still don't believe that."

"Shhh, I will continue..." Hinto niyang sabi at pinagpatuloy niya ulit, "After the wedding, we went to the states, your mother and I. Stay there for a while. After 2 or 3 years, bumalik kami sa Pilipinas. I've searched for Catelyn and when I found her, she's still the same woman that I fell in love with. Kaya naman, something happened to us..."

This is awkward. Talking things like this.

But I ignored it. Nagegets ko na lahat.
