After I went home from school, I wrote this poem before I went to bed the same day I wrote poem number eight (“Losing”). It also has the same concept like the former poem, but I imbibed the feeling of war in it to make it look like ancient or medieval in tone.

TO WAR

Stand! Our women are rejoicing

Let’s take our bow and shield and sword

Stand! Our women are exalting

And conquer ev’ry troop and horde

Charge! Our women are all singing

Let’s crush the walls of history

Charge! Our women are all dancing

Let’s win this for our victory

Hold! Our women are all shaking

The en’my overtook the race

Hold! Our women are all trembling

We can’t afford to lose our face

Fall! Our women are all crying

Our hands were soaked in blood and pain

Fall! Our women are all crying

We did our best, but all’s in vain
