This poem is about my memories of school, and expectations of future life.

WHAT LIES AHEAD

Back to the days of freedom

When I retraced the path

That leads to all confusion

Resembling that of math

A time when I encountered

Near lands I have not wandered

Back to the days of victors

When I have won the prize

For strong determination

And everything that's wise

In time for one short ending

To mark a fresh beginning

Back to the days of races

Of bigger families

Of friends and old affections

A bond that soon will cease

But songs play on tomorrow

To where abound is sorrow

Back to the days of challenge

A truth of empty love

No swift interrogations

Shall show what lies above

Unless the mind has pondered

On what the lips have whispered

Back to the days of winners

New strands of history

Upon the true perfection

Of working constantly

To anyone who is leaving

That legacy may be keeping

Ergo, the days of silence

Will soon come to an end

Till one makes a decision

To where the words shall bend

To where leads one sweet arrow

A choice, too full or hollow
