EARTH

The ground echoes a steady pulse

To which I listen to

A faint heartbeat

Of a soul beneath my cold, bare feet

I lay down on the soft autumn grass

Where my skin clings to

A melody

Of the moon that keeps me company

Through the night,

Stillness brings a different sight

Of a world carefree and wide

I do not possess another side

Of character or emotion

But I come to be baptized

To belong, to be captive

Of a new revolution

That I never realized

Until I was alive

Through the night,

Meditation bestows the gift of flight

Phantasmagoria, to be exact

So that I may complete the sacred pact

A promise to be born

On this pristine clay

That change may ignite

Not special, nor forlorn

Not dreaming this day

But to be infinite

Tomorrow,

Love will never be called sorrow

Indifference wouldn't cause pain

Tears will never resemble rain

When I've learned enough

I wouldn't crumble

I wouldn't be still

I will be tough

I will resemble

If I ever fulfill

The tremors fade to a hushed silence

To which I listen to

A perfect moment

Of a myriad of mysterious elements

The ground opens a new dimension

Where my senses cling to

A memory

Of a vision locked out of reality
