This poem is actually about suffering and revenge, but that doesn’t mean I’m mad at someone! No, seriously, sometimes I get mad, but that fades off quickly. You know, I try to do things to capture the emotions sealed in every poem, which is why I try to explain things that seem farfetched from the poem, okay? Ha-ha, I’m explaining myself too much (I know).

GETTING BACK

I didn’t mind my bleeding face

I still went on to win this fight

They came with fire and brought disgrace

Got heart-stabbed and blinded my sight

It has thrust to my deepest vein

And slashed the flesh of memory

It kept my mind from being sane

I lived in an infirmary

The hours were years; I can’t go on

The time is not enough to heal

I’d blame them ‘cause they always won

I wished I didn’t have to feel

I used to be a nobody

I used to be the one who dies

But now, I am a somebody

And it's revenge; you are all lies
