Tyler took a deep breath, bringing his shaking hand to the entrance of the house. 3 hollow knocks sounded against the door, before Tyler realized there was a doorbell. sighing, he pressed his finger upon the rusted rubber button, hearing the doorbell ring. It creaked open to your smiling face, before you really processed who it was.

"T-T-Tyler?" you squeaked, your voice cracking with tears.

"Oh- um, hi bab- (y/n)." he corrected himself, his eyes reaching his dusty shoes.

"So- uh- how've you been?" You ask timidly, your breath catching as his brown eyes met yours.

"Ya know I've uh- I've been around." Tyler replied. There was shuffling behind you, and your head spun.

"BABY! Come down here!" you yelled, and Tyler felt his heart shatter. you had moved on from him.

"so you're with someone?" Tyler asks, wiping away tears before they could fall on his face.

"yes- um I guess I am." you whisper out.

Tyler looked down. The only thing that could make it worse was if-

"hey baby." a deep voice spoke, interrupting Tyler's thoughts. he knew that voice anywhere. the body of the voice, eyes closed, placed a light kiss on your neck before opening his eyes.

"Holy shit Tyler?" Josh half-yelled, his grip around your waist tightening.

"Yeah- it's me!" Tyler weakly smiled. this was his nightmare. the one he loved and the man he trusted most together.

"You two are together?" he asked sadly.

you nodded. "After you... left... we kind of fell into each other's arms. He was there for me, I guess when you weren't."

"And they were there for me Tyler." Josh added, burying his face into your neck, showing off his faded orange hair.

"You dyed it orange?" Tyler remembered that Josh said he didn't ever want to dye it because it reminded him of someone he lost.

"I dyed it for them, when we both got it done together. Theirs washed out but I guess mine didn't." Josh shrugged. He tilted your head and planted a slight kiss on your lips.

"do you want to come in?" Tyler shook his head .

"No. I should go. Um. See you again sometime later?" Tyler asked, not looking for the reply as he walked away.

he screwed up. he screwed up big time. he expected to come back and you fall back into his arms and kissing and happy and laughing and Josh would be smiling and happy for him and it would be great. not like this. he didn't expect to see you and him. to leave crying. to be sitting outside the house in his car, screaming and banging the wheel, vision to blurry with tears to drive. he regretted everything. and it was all his fault.
