The Unexpected Always Happens

Morning

I start to open my eyes and all I could see was the sunlight peeking through the blinds. I smiled. What a beautiful way to wake up. I look up and I noticed that I was laying down on top of Tyler's chest. I gasp. That's right I totally forgot that I was here with him. I give him a couple of soft kisses all across his chest.

That's when I hear a groan. Tyler wakes up and looks down at me. "Good morning Rhea." He says and kisses me. "Mmm." I say as I'm kissing him. We let go and he wraps his arm around me. "Did you have fun last night?" I smiled. "Yes I did." He smiled. "Did you?" He nods. "You blew me away Rhea, I mean.." I raise my eyebrow and gave him a huge smirk.

"I mean who knew that there was a wild person underneath..." I chuckle. "Underneath what?" He laughs. "You know what I mean." I scoff. He then goes and kisses me. He then goes and sits on top of me. I look up and smile. He then leans down and starts to kiss my neck. Boy was I enjoying it.

He starts to kiss his way up to my lips. "Tyler, stop we can't do this again." I say in between breaths. "Who says we can't?" I laugh and started to caress his back. We were getting lost in the passion of our kisses and that's when my phone goes off. We let go and I leaned down to grab my phone out of the pocket of my pants.

I look at the screen and it was a notification. It was a reminder that I have a meeting with the ambassador of our neighboring country in 5 minutes. I gasp. Shoot I forgot about that, meeting the ambassador was of ultimate importance and here I am with Tyler. Tyler gets off from me and I fall off the bed.

I grab most of my clothes but I couldn't find my shirt. Tyler was changing into his clothes and then hands me my shirt. "Here you go beautiful." I laugh. "Thanks." He kisses my shoulder and I smile. I put my shirt on and grabbed my phone. Tyler and I walk out and we get on the bikes.

After a couple of minutes on the bike we get to the palace. Of course now that it was daylight there was more guards than ever surrounding the palace. I sigh. "Hey Rhea, how about I go to the orphanage and you sneak in through the servants hall." I gave him a baffled look. "Why?" He smiles. "I'm pretty sure people have noticed that we are both gone so if they see me over there and you here they won't suspect that we were together." I smile. "Ok sounds good."

I start to walk away and he pulls in for a kiss. "Mmmm." I smile then let go. "What was that for?" He smiles. "I love you." I smile. "I love you too, now go before we get in trouble." I say and he laughs. "But you're the queen?" I laugh. "Yeah I am, would you like to be punished by the queen?" I say giving him a seductive look. He gives me a huge smirk and laughs. "I would definitely like that." I laugh and kiss him. "Now go." He nods and takes off on his bike.

I couldn't help but smile. My was I head over heels for that man. I look towards the window of my room and there were guards everywhere. The servants hall was too damn crowded. Damn it, how can I get in? I look at my phone and my meeting with the ambassador was way over. That's when I remembered something. My amazing father showed me the secret entrance that the palace has. I hide behind some bushes and trees and made my towards the entrance.

After 10 minutes of hiding from the guards and the servants I make it to my room. I close the door and sighed. I was so relieved that I made it without anyone noticing that I was gone the whole night. "Good morning Rhea." I gasp. I turn around and I see my mother sitting there on the bed with her arms crossed. "So nice of you to appear your majesty." She says and I sigh.

She gets up and walks over to me. "Where were you?" "I went out for a walk, can't the queen just go out for a walk by herself?" She chuckles. "In those clothes?" I scoff and walked into my closet. I start to change and my mom walks in. "You know you missed your meeting with the ambassador." I sigh. "I know, I totally forgot."

She shakes her head. "He was asking for you and many others and one of them was your father." I gasp. "What did you tell them?" "Well I talked to ambassador and the deal you wanted to do was able to be made, and I told them you were sick." I sigh in relief. Then my eyes shot open. "Mom what did you tell dad?" She laughs. "That you were throwing up so pretend to act sick." I nod.

"Thanks mom." I say as I put on a black dress and red heels. "So are you going to tell me the truth?" I walked up to my vanity and started to brush my hair. "I did tell you the truth." She scoffs. "I was your age once, I know you were with someone." I start to get nervous. "Rhea you're not a teenager anymore, you're a queen." That's when I snap. "Look mom I didn't go out with Tyler, I just wanted a break for a change. Yes even though I decided to be queen I wanted a break." She sighs.

"I wanted to dress up with normal comfortable clothes, I wanted to just relax." She smiles. "I'm sorry sweetie it's just.." I nod. "It's ok." I say and half smile. "Look Im not mad and I won't force you to tell me anything. I just thought you trusted me enough to tell me when you're dealing with something Rhea. You may be the queen and a grown woman but you will always be my little girl." I sigh.

"I'm sorry mom." She nods and gives me a kiss on the forehead. "I get it you are young, you want to have fun, being queen isn't easy,." I half smile and nod. "It's ok but next time just tell me where you're at or at least let Wendy or I know that you're alive." I nod. She then hugs me. "Rhea I thought I lost you once, I cannot bear it a second time." I nod and hugged her tightly. "I promise."

Tyler's POV
I can't believe that I slept with Rhea last night. I mean she was amazing and I just want to be with her again. I continued to ride my bike with a dorky smile on my face. I get to the orphanage and I walk into my office. As soon as I walked through the door someone turns the chair around from behind my desk.

I scoff. "Mother." She smiles. "By that dorky smile on your face I can say that you really enjoyed last night?" I stayed quiet. She finished filing her nails and blows on them. "So I heard that her majesty is still alive, what happened son I thought you were going to kill her at our secret location." I sigh. "I was but I couldn't." She scoffs. "Oh come on son, how could you not kill her. It was the most easiest way to kill someone." I shook my head. "For you it might be but I'm not a killer mother." She gasps.

"You did fall in love with that stupid waste of a person." I look down and nod. She walks up to me grabs my chin. "I raised you better than this Tyler, I didn't raise you to be this weak." I push her away. "I'm not weak." She chuckles. "Is it because you made love to her?" I stood there quietly. "You know that plan was to kill her when you are guys are making love but not fall in love son!" She screams.

"Well I didn't and I will not try to kill her again." She gasps. "What did I say if you failed to kill her?" I scoff and walked up to her face. "Don't you dare try to harm her or her family or else." She lifts her eyebrow and chuckles. "Or else what, you'll kill me?" I sigh. "I won't come to that but if I have to stop you I will." She gasps then slaps me. "Traitor." I look back at her with such anger and hurt.

"I raised you better than this, you were supposed to kill her to avenge what her grandmother did to yours." She screams. "I am tired of living like this, revenge isn't everything mother." She smiles. "Oh yes it is." She says while looking around the room as if an idea just brewed up inside her mind.

"What are you thinking?" She scoffs. "I will do what you couldn't do." "No!" I yelled. "From now on I do not have a son so go back with your family you little traitor and if you warn Rhea or her family about what I'm planning on doing..." I chuckle. "What are you going to do, kill me?" She laughs. "No, something far worse." I shook my head.

"Have a good day Tyler Mills, I hope you enjoy living with a broken heart." She says and walks out of my office. I go and sit down on my chair. There is no stopping my mother when she acts like that. I don't know how but I have to warn Rhea and her family about my mother's intentions, even if it means that I won't see her again. Oh my poor Rhea, she's going to feel betrayed. Never had I felt this powerless. I sighed.

That's when someone opens the door and interrupts my thoughts. "Mr. Mills you have a meeting right now with a couple in the meeting room." Olivia my secretary says. I nod and smile. "Thanks I'll be on my way." She nods and closes the door. I lean back on the chair and sigh. "Well I can't do anything but in the mean time I will do the job that my love entrusted me with."
