Chapter 16: Jessamine's house.

Beat started driving to Jessamine's house while he was worried for Erina, but there was no way that she would be in trouble. She had been in worse situations already. Like with the Yakuza. But his instinct was telling him to go to Cynthia's house right now and make sure that Erina is fine. But also he knew that someday Erina would have to do her job on her own.
-Beat: (sighs) Let the birds fly, Beat. Let the birds fly.
He arrived to Jessamine's house, it was really far from the church and really close to the school and the leisure district. It was really strange to see such girl with so much faith to go through all the residential district only to pray. But Beat didn't care and looked how the house was exactly.

The house had two floors, the outside walls are white and seems that someone took real good care of them, also there was a real big garden outside the house and was filled with flowers and bushes. There was 5 windows and they all had bars like if they were windows of a jail. Beat went to the door and found a crux in the door and a button near the door. Beat pushed the button and a song like one of the church typical songs was played. A real tall man that had black eyes, short brown hair and was wearing a black shirt, jeans and a pair of black trainers opened the door. He was surprised at seeing Beat.
-Jessamine's father: Hello! What can I do for you?
-Beat: I'm Beat Graves, monster hunter. I'm investigating Jessamine's death.
-Jessamine's father: Can I see your plaque?
-Beat: Of course. At least you asked it nicely.
Beat showed his plaque. The man looked relieved.
-Jessamine's Father: (sad but relieved) Please enter. You surely will want some coffee.
-Beat: I know that this is hard sir. I don't have kids but it hurts when someone close to you dies. I don't want to be a trouble so it isn't needed.
-Jessamine's Father: She was a nice girl. Why someone killed my little girl!? WHY!?
-Beat: We have a lead sir. Remember her friend, Cynthia?
-Jessamine's Father: Yes! You think that she was the culprit!?
-Beat: Yes. She fits the Succubus profile. And your daughter was the lover of Cynthia's boyfriend. And that boy was about to marry Cynthia.
-Jessamine's Father: That's why she was sad... But if Cynthia fits the Succubus profile and it's about to marry Jake.. That means that Jake will be her lunch!
-Beat: You know of Succubus? Good. If you could let me check Jessamine's room, maybe I could find more.
-Jessamine's Father: (Filled with hope) Of course! Enter!
-Beat: Thanks.
Beat goes inside Jessamine room and starts checking all the room until she finds Jessamine's diary.
-Beat: Let's see your last pages.

Beat read the last 10 pages of the diary and found out something worse. Jessamine wasn't only the lover of Jake, was also the lover of Cynthia. And she put all the details of her encounters with Cynthia. But there was something disturbing, she wrote a lot of times how some tendrils went in diferents parts of her body. Then Beat thought of what was the liquid that was in the body of Jessamine. It could be a Succubus liquid. When a Succubus drains the life essence of someone, it leaves a liquid very troublesome in the body because it deteriorated the cells and the blood, making fail several important parts of the body, like the liver, the brain and the heart. With extreme exposure to that, no human would survive long. But that meant one thing, Jessamine was also food for Cynthia. If she was like that, she wouldn't betray Cynthia. The liquid made someone follow the orders of the Succubus that put it and provoked addiction. In the last phase of exposure, anyone would beg for grabbing the hand of the Succubus and would be extremely happy if the Succubus decided to kiss him/her. Beat knew what he had to do. He called Vinnie.
-Beat: Vinnie! Compare the liquid from the corpse with Succubus liquid! Please!
-Vinnie: On it!
-Beat: “Crap! Erina is going to the wolf mouth! Directly and without help!"
-Vinnie: Oh my god... The concentration of this liquid in her body almost reaches the 100%! You were right Beat, we have a Succubus to kill. And really fast.
-Beat: I have to run! Erina is in danger!
-Vinnie: I'll call Sylvia! She'll be faster than you surely! Why you let her go on her own!?
-Beat: I don't know! I should have gone with her but she decided going on her own to Cynthia's house. And I checked the victim diary only to learn that I messed up!
-Vinnie: I hope that the Succubus has less will to attack than a skeleton!
Beat hangs out and with the diary runs to the door but Jessamine's Father stops him. He looked like a zombie.
-Jessamine's Father: You can't kill Lady Cynthia...
-Beat: So you too cheated on your wife with Cynthia... Sorry for this, but your life is over.
Beat grabbed his gun and shot Jessamine's father in the head.
-Beat: I hope that you find peace in death.
Beat leaves.

Meanwhile, in White Hope, Sylvia gets her gun and starts walking to her car. Her eyes were glowing with a crimson aura.
-Sylvia: I am thou, thou art I. The time has come. Open thy eyes and unleash your forbidden power. Unleash your power, Crimson Shooter.
Sylvia throws her glasses to the ground.

What has happened to Sylvia? Her power is going to be used? What it can do?
