Chapter 51: Vinnie's past

Vinnie went to the warehouse and looked to the demons with a pale face. Beat noticed it and went to ask him if he knew those demons.
-Beat: Who they are?
-Vinnie: Old partners of mine that left me on my own when I joined you. They were the brawn and I was the brain. We stole so much from rich people... Now they are dead because a fat rich guy wanted them dead?
-Beat: What do you know of Big Papa?
-Vinnie: I'll search of him. But if I get my hands on him, he's dead.
-Beat: I'd rather capture him to see if they have an antidote for that drug or they did not even thought of that.
-Vinnie: Smart move but if he is who I think he is... He won't talk.
-Beat: Tell me then who is he.
-Vinnie: I think that he is my old boss. My partners wouldn't have went into drugs without him telling them to do it.
-Beat: Where I can find him?
-Vinnie: He finds you. Not the other way. But if he has taken that name and turned into a gangster... I think that he became stupid and sloppy. I'll check if my guess is well aimed.
-Beat: No hard feelings for this?
-Vinnie: I'll find the culprit and kill him. This is not your fault. It's mine. I should have pulled them with me.
-Beat: I'll leave you with your thoughts.
Beat left the warehouse and started calling the police to make sure that they were coming.

Vinnie kept thinking about his partners and recalled all his past.
Flashback start
Vinnie was born in a poor family, his father tried to earn more money but he was unable and his mother was so indebted that she shouldn't be able to see the next day, but his father ensured his mother safety. One day, Vinnie managed to get a computer and started stealing electricity from other buildings to use the computer and started learning how to hack.
After 3 years of work, he managed to make that all those who put his mother in so many debts lose all their money and it was dispersed into so many places that made impossible to track Vinnie down but he lost against his greed and tried to recover it all.
The gangsters managed to find him and almost killed him but then a demon stepped into the fight. He was tall, had spiky long black hair and wore a leather jacket, black jeans and black boots.
-???: Stay away from the kid. He is my new partner. I put him through a test.
-Gangster 1: Stay out of this, Dan. He is ours and we will crack his skull!
-Dan: That's so?
Dan punched the first gangster and the gangster fell to the ground with a wound in his forehead. The gangster was killed with only a punch.
-Dan: Tell your blasted boss to go put a fist where the sun does not hit before trying to smack one of my people down. Got it!?
The other gangster ran away as fast
-Dan: What's your name, kid?
-Vinnie: Vinnie is the name I have.
-Dan: Wanna get quick money?
-Vinnie: More than this?
-Dan: Yeah, and safer. I need a hacker and not only a script kid. You enter in that description.
-Vinnie: I'll get the money.
-Dan: Your mother got so indebted that you had to do this to save her?
-Vinnie: Yeah. How do you know?
-Dan: I am good at guessing. Way too good!
Dan patted the head of Vinnie and helped him carry the eight thousand dollars he had stolen from the gang.
Flashback end

Vinnie sighed and kept getting the clues and everything that could help him to catch the culprit.
-Vinnie: "Dan, you better not be betraying your people. Because if you betrayed them to reel me in a fight... I am going to send you to hell."
Vinnie finished getting the clues and returned to his van.

Meanwhile, in a bar... A big and fat human, with black skin, black eyes, short hair and with a scar in his forehead had tied down Dan and was drinking rum.
-Big Papa: Here we have you, Dan. Now we only need Vinnie and we will be able to get revenge at you all.
-Dan: Vinnie is safe. Forget killing him. You will be captured.
-Big Papa: Let's see about that.
Big Papa kept drinking.
