Chapter 40: Interesting findings.

After several hours of work, Erina managed to read all the diary of the werewolf and found out that he was in a group of monsters that were with the church as spies and a list of members of that group. Erina managed to get the names of the previous victims of the killer and found out that all of them were in the list so she quickly ran to Beat who was still trying to find Vinnie or Alphonse to help him with the ring.
-Erina: Beat!
-Beat: What happens, Erina?
-Erina: You won't like this. All the victims were spies of the church and also helped to find girls that could be used for something that is called Project Purification.
Beat became pale as a ghost as he heard that, because then he remembered who wore a ring like the one he had now from the last victim. And then he looked like he was ready to kill someone.
-Beat: Hendriiiiicks! THAT BASTAAAARD! So he's still on that! I'm going to deep fry him and put him some steel shoes to his feet!
-Erina: Care to explain why you think that?
-Beat: He has a ring like that! He has it! And I already tried to stop that project once! And they are still on it!
-Erina: What they want to do, Beat?
-Beat: Turn girls into bombs of only-monster venom. Every monster they touch, bam! Dead!
-Erina: And those girls... How much they live?
-Beat: 3 months at maximum. That's the plan. Easy to kill, easy to clean the mess after the plan.
Erina became pale as a ghost and started shaking.
-Erina: How can they... How can they do this? They simply kill girls for that?
-Beat: They are fanatics.
-Erina: I cannot believe this. I just can't. No one could be so... so evil.
-Beat: What you see that is right, for others shall be evil. I have to find that idiot of Vinnie now!
Beat leaves running.

Meanwhile, in an underground lab, a tall man with ash hair, black eyes, a scar on his left eye and wearing priest clothes was looking a giant tube filled with a green liquid. Behind him there was a bald man that was wearing glasses and a laboratory coat who wants to talk with the man.
-Doctor: Hendricks. Someone is after us. We stop the project?
-Hendricks: No. We cannot stop now. (Smiles) And until Beat comes, nothing is going wrong! And we can destroy all the monsters! All of them! We have to keep trying! Our prototypes only last 3 days! We want them to die quickly but not so quickly!
-Doctor: If we lowered the dose... It could work but maybe it isn't enough to kill with only a touch. Then we should look for suitable woman to work on this...
-Hendricks: We invested in this to make sure that we do as our church says! All monsters shall be killed in a touch of the blessed ones!
-Doctor: Then, we will need to improve the bodies of the girls.
-Hendricks: That's a good start. Start trying that and try to create clones! We cannot be kidnapping all the day neither kidnapping at this rate.
-Doctor: But that's unethical and the equipment is hard to obtain...
-Hendricks: I can handle that. Less unethical that taking girls that look for trouble.
-Doctor: Understood.
-Hendricks: And that I don't hear that you do any weird things to any subject. Or you die.
-Doctor: Yes sir!
The doctor leaves and Hendricks smiles.
