Chapter 60: The Reason of the Hitman

Beat knew that the culprit was a hitman for 3 reasons. First, literally none of the possible culprits could have done it if it meant that they could be killed, not with the equipment that the culprit was using. But he was not sure of that, so he tested that reason. Second, the sniper rifle was really good for a handmade one, so the user was not a novice in this. Third reason was what the sniper did, literally tried to kill him and he was not afraid to kill the possible culprits. That reason made Beat see through the whole story easily, now he only had to find out who would want those people dead and why.

But Beat was angry too. The shot to his neck was aimed at Erina left leg, so the hitman had orders to not kill Erina but cause her pain. So the bastard who paid the culprit also wanted to do something to Erina. And that made him way too angry.
-Shiro: Beat! Calm down! Now you have clues of who could do it no!?
-Beat: A wild guess is that Francis has something to do with this!
-Erina: But why?
-Beat: Erina, get a hint!
-Erina: He tried to hit me but hit your neck?
-Beat: No, he hit my neck with a sniper rifle and hoped that it would hit your left leg!
-Erina: But as usual you won't die.
-Beat: I will catch that hitman and ask him who paid him. If it is Francis, this is war.
-Erina: Beat, you don't have to take care of me like this.
-Beat: Oh, you and I were having such a good day which has been turned into job, again. Twice! It happened twice! Remember that dinner in Vito’s restaurant!
-Erina: Come on! That was not that bad.
-Beat: (sighs) If you say so.
Shiro tried to hold his laugh but he could not resist and started to laugh.

Beat looked at Shiro with an angry face.
-Beat: Come on! Laugh more, you bastard!
-Shiro: Sorry (laughing even louder) This is way too funny! I would not believe that you were such a romantic person, Beat!
-Beat: There is one thing called logic. If I am with a woman I love, why in all hell I would not want to have a normal, calm and fun date with her!?
The two other girls looked at him and sighed. Probably because they wanted a boyfriend like Beat.
-Beat: Still! I will catch that hitman and interrogate him! Later I will be a good boyfriend for once and find a place where no one will try to murder anyone for next date.
Erina hugs him.
-Erina: Come on! This date is not that bad. At least I met a friend of yours!
-Beat: Well… If you are happy, I am happy. Now excuse me, I have to take out a bullet and send it to Vinnie.
Beat put his hand on his neck and took out a bullet and was walking around with it to find a place where to call Vinnie.

I am trying to keep short chapters to make it more long but still with a final push towards the end of the story. But it will take a long time to finish this story!
