Chapter 68:Beat VS Bell

Beat smiled at Bell. He had wanted to capture Bell and Francis since a long time ago and now he had a chance to capture Bell.
-Beat: Hey Bell. Why don't you surrender? After all taking care of the paperwork is going to be easier if I don't blow one of your hands off.
-Bell: I will kill you. I believe I am prepared for that.
-Beat: Are you sure?
-Bell: I have been optimized to fight you. I have equipment that deals great damage to the human body.
-Beat: Ah, excellent. Yet I have tried around 666 ways to die. After trying I decided to find the reason of my regeneration. Only to find that I must be destroyed totally. Not even a single drop of blood must remain. Since there is no way to accomplish this and I found a reason to be alive… I will not be killed by you.
Bell sighed and his arm turned into a machine-gun and started shooting Beat but he was faster and found a cover. Beat took out his gun and aimed at Bell’s head and shoot straight to his head. Only to find out that Bell was a cyborg to head to toe.
-Beat: So, you literally are less of an human than me.
-Bell: As long as you cannot kill me, you cannot go to Erina's location.
-Beat: So you want to stall me. I see. But I know one thing. Your brain is human. And your heart must be the same.
-Bell: Indeed. Francis would never cooperate with someone without a heart that pumps blood or a human brain.
-Beat: So… I only have to pierce that heart of yours.
-Bell: I will kill you before.
-Beat: Think so?
Beat aimed at the torso of Bell before he could aim properly with his machine-gun to Beat.

Meanwhile, Erina had to go upstairs following Francis who was running. She was confident that Francis would have to stop before arriving to the top of the Bloodline tower and that she had more stamina than Francis. So in a summarized way, Francis could hide but not escape from Erina. Which terrified Erina, because that meant that she had to be ready to stop Francis at any second and she knew that Francis would not fall without giving a good fight. But she kept going, since she knew that she was for now the only one capable of stopping Francis.

Beat was still fighting Bell and noticed one thing. Bell had bones of steel, so literally his skeleton had been modified to make him even harder to kill and that he had improved muscles. So literally his body was stronger than the average man and Bell was trained in boxing and many other martial arts so Beat had to go after the chance to shoot at Bell’s heart. And he had a chance to capture Bell since he noticed one small thing. Bell’s left leg was shaking, so Bell had a vulnerable leg. Simply put, Beat only had to attack that leg to make him fall and capture him.
Beat charged forward while Bell tried to turn Beat into minced meat with his machine-gun and Beat kicked the vulnerable leg and Bell almost fell to the ground so Beat pushed Bell again and then shot him in the leg several times, emptying 5 clips on the leg. After so many bullets in the leg, Bell’s leg malfunctioned and Bell became unable to get up.
-Bell: Dammit, my leg! How did you notice!?
-Beat: Shaky leg? That's a big vulnerability! I did not notice until I noticed that you had bones of steel but that meant that you had been modified. And that means that you need to keep a close eye on the state of your body. Maintaining that body must be hard.
-Bell: I could still shoot you.
-Beat: That machine-gun has limits. Too few bullets left.
Bell smiled and turned his gun away.
-Bell: I lost. I cannot keep up.
-Beat: Well. Good idea! Now, I have to restrain you and go after Francis.
-Bell: Forget it. He is old but not that old. Erina may catch him, but you won't. Not even me at my top speed could catch him on the road to Bloodline.
-Beat: Dammit. I am the only one who has climbed this tower in 2 hours. I believe I am prepared for this.
-Bell: Yes but I may escape.
-Sylvia: That won't happen.
Sylvia entered the tower and found Bell and Beat.
-Sylvia: I stay here.
-Beat: I will kill Francis.
-Sylvia: Counting on that. Put a bullet in his mouth for me.
-Beat: Will do!
Beat ran after Francis with his gun in hand.

I am deeply sorry for the delay. I had a too busy time during several months and literally I was forced to take a break from writing and the batch of prepared chapters had its own limits. Still, two chapters left to finish this story.

So let's see what will happen in the last chapters! Will Erina stop Francis or the fate of the monsters is locked in?
