Chapter 65: Truth Discovered

Erina looked at Francis and tried to control herself from killing Francis even if it took her to an early grave.
-Erina: Why you want to kill the monsters?
-Francis: Well, there is no point in hiding it from you. I created the virus that turned them all into monsters. I was a young researcher that was asked by the government of back then to create elite soldiers with better forms to fight. And so I started working on the monster virus. In theory only it would give powers. Not these hideous forms! But in case that the government tried to take me down I created a second virus and injected it in my veins. That one would give me the power to resist any kind of signal of death. Like Bloodline.
-Erina: And now you want to clean up your own mess!? Now!? After we got used to it! And kill millions or even billions of people only for your mess!?
-Francis: Yeah. And you will help me.
-Erina: (aims at Francis with her gun) Francis, you are under arrest! For crimes of conspiracy, attempt to kill millions of people and for terrorism! Do not attempt to fight or I will be allowed to shoot you down!
-Francis: And you think I will surrender? I am the president. Lower the weapon now, monster hunter.
-Erina: Not even being the president will save you from me arresting you and sending you to a cell!
-Francis: There you are wrong, my dear. I am safe but you can die. Shoot me and you will be treated like a villain. I shoot you and people will accept that it was needed. Who is the one that you will arrest, monster hunter?
Francis gets shot in the knee and Erina starts searching for who shot him and saw Sylvia just behind him.
-Sylvia: It has been a long time since I saw you, Francis. You are under arrest, pig. For all what Erina shouted and for harassment to a agent of the law.
-Francis: Okay, Bell wins.
-Erina: What do you mean by that!?
Then Bell enters in the room through the wall and kicks Sylvia and gets Francis out of the room.

Erina runs to Sylvia who is coughing blood.
-Erina: Are you fine Sylvia!?
-Sylvia: Yeah. Those two have finished their own lives. I will kill them.
-Erina: I will call Beat!
-Sylvia: And he will run after Francis like a mad dog.
-Erina: You can bet on that.
-Sylvia: At least I win once in a while some bets.
-Erina: Why have no one found out that Francis was here!?
-Sylvia: Simple. All of the monster hunters unless you have evacuated thinking that here there was a new virus…
-Erina: But there is not. And I was not warned. Smells like a perfect trap.
-Sylvia: It is a perfect trap. Isn't it usual with Francis?
-Erina: I would bet that he has some weird love for perfect traps.
Sylvia smiled and ended unconscious. Erina grabbed her phone and started calling an ambulance.

30 minutes later, Beat was going back to White Hope. Only to find out that Sylvia had been attacked by Francis. The police tried to make her shut up, but that only angered Beat even more and punched a pair of cops.
-Beat: I am butchering that scurvy dog!
Every monster hunter of White Hope grabbed their weapons and looked at Beat, like expecting his order
-Beat: In 15 minutes, I want this scurvy dog found. In 60 I want everyone ready to go butchering him! And in 2 hours I want him dead in the morgue! Everyone understands it!? This man is a criminal that has resisted and is avoiding the arrest! And moreover seems that he is dangerous, so no mercy shall be allowed. I want him so filled with bullets that a metal detector explodes when we transport him to the morgue! Got it, you bunch of useless hunters!?
-White Hope: Crystal clear sir!
-Beat: Then what are you waiting for!? Chop, Chop, people!
Everyone started to work but Beat grabbed Erina by her arm.
-Beat: You have been training. I will let you use that weapon you tried the first day. Blast a hole in his heart, Erina.
-Erina: Aye sir!
Erina went to find Dollie to get her new weapon.
