Chapter 64: The sins of Francis

Beat had been in a mess that seemed to involve everyone in the world. After Bell’s abuse of power and finding out that Francis was planning something, Beat knew that either he stopped him or no person in the world could stop Francis.
But why Francis needed Erina? That was the question that Beat was unable to answer. He had a feeling that some of the cases where Erina participated were connected but he needed clues.
Beat went to talk with the only one he knew that had enough time to understand Francis, Erina’s mother.

Beat went to Erina’s house and knocked the door. Erina’s mother opened it.
-Erina’s Mother: So you found out the truth.
-Beat: Not yet, but Francis is planning something big.
-Erina’s Mother: Imagine a world where there are only humans but all of them could be controlled by someone like Francis.
-Beat: So he wants to kill all monsters and reign like a king.
-Erina’s Mother: Something like that. But who can fight him? No one. So I tried to sabotage his plans.
-Beat: Why Erina is needed for that plan?
-Erina’s Mother: Because it is easier to get something already done that making a lineage through cloning.
-Beat: But he does not want me at her side.
-Erina’s Mother: Because inmortal children will be a hard thing to control.
-Beat: But also he wanted to become immortal like me.
-Erina’s Mother: Think carefully. If he cannot stop you from being at her side… How can he control the legacy?
-Beat: Becoming immortal. This is bullshit. It is really bullshit. Why Erina must pass through this?
-Erina’s Mother: Because you are the only one who put this much of a fight.
-Beat: So I have to find out how to put him in jail without any kind of covering.
-Erina’s Mother: Prepare a large number of proof of his plan and show it to the world. It's the most simple thing.
-Beat: Yeah, but you think he will mess up so badly?
-Erina’s Mother: If you push him all time you will be able to make him mess up.
-Beat: Not much of a plan but I will have to do it. Thanks for the advice.
Beat left the house with a smile because he knew that Francis was not messing up but his henchmen were failing so badly that he may have it easy for once.

Meanwhile, Erina had been busy searching information about Francis and learned something that she would later regret knowing.
She saw all the plan of Francis after rechecking all what had happened since she became a monster hunter. Francis wanted to force a rebellion of monsters and he would use Bloodline to kill them all without thinking twice. Later the humans and the humans with powers would praise him as the new leader of Humanity. And then, Erina would be forced to follow Francis plan and make a lineage of kings. Which would be molded at Francis will. Erina got so angry that kicked the chair which she had been sitting for hours. But then, she felt a gun in her head. It was Francis himself that was aiming at her.
