Chapter 67: The Final Case

Lucy had arrived to White Hope and saw Beat and hugged him without thinking twice.
-Lucy: Papa! I WAS SO SCARED!
-Beat: What happened, Lucy? You usually are not scared, and the only time I saw you scared… Better we do not recall it.
-Lucy: Bell found me with all the data of Francis! He is trying to killing all monsters. Or will at this rate.
-Beat: He is quick on the foot! Okay, you know where he is?
-Lucy: He will be at Astropolitan at 14:00.
-Beat: Okay, we will ambush him and kill him like a scurvy dog! SYLVIA!
-Sylvia: What!?
-Beat: Call all of White Hope and the rest of monster hunting companies! We have a scurvy dog to put down!
-Sylvia: Yes, sir!
-Beat: Perfect! Now we search Erina and we do introductions.
-Lucy: So I will meet future mama?
-Beat: (Blushes) You fool. If all was that easy…
-Lucy: Something is easy when we talk of your life?
-Beat: Getting shot and getting work. None of them are my vice.
-Lucy: But we know who will become your vice.
-Beat: Stop it…
Beat and Lucy go to see the others and Erina grabs Beat’s arm.

Beat look at Erina and knew that she was suspecting something about Francis.
-Beat: What are you thinking?
-Erina: Astropolitan is close to the tower where Bloodline signal is, no?
-Beat: Yeah? (Thinks a bit) That snake! He is planning to distract us and making us go to Astropolitan while he activates manually the Bloodline signal!
-Erina: Seems that you noticed!
-Beat: SYLVIA!
-Sylvia: Yes?
-Beat: You and the rest go to Astropolitan and cover any exit that may be used by Francis. He may be trying to use Bloodline manually. So Erina and me are going to check it out!
-Sylvia: And Lucy is here! Odd that the girl that calls you Papa is here. She warned you?
-Beat: Maybe.
-Erina: (Looks a bit jealous) Why she calls you Papa?
-Beat: Remember what I told you some time ago about Lucy? She's the survivor of the previous try of Hendricks to kill all the monsters.
-Erina: Oh! A pleasure to meet you, Lucy.
-Lucy: And you are Papa’s girlfriend, no? Great to meet you! The family is getting bigger!
Beat coughs and starts going to the Bloodline tower.

The Bloodline tower was a closed area unless for Monster Hunters and the president. It was a tall tower of 350 meters tall made of iron and titanium with lots of antennae, only there was a way to get up to the antennae and manually activate Bloodline that was the stairs that were inside the building. It was in the leisure district hidden from plain sight.
If you tried to climb it, you would fall with the quake system that made supersonic vibrations that made it move like puding.
Still no one went to it because using the stairs exhausted even the most fit of the monster hunters. The only one who went to it in 5 years was Beat himself and it took him 2 hours.
The two hunters entered into the tower and saw Francis and Bell.
-Beat: Francis! Stop right there! (Aims to the head of Francis) I don't want to kill you without a fight. So get your fists up and I will end you! You won't escape. One entrance, one exit! Surrender!
-Francis: Bell. Kill them both.
-Bell: Acknowledged.
Bell charges against Beat but Beat stops him. Still it broke Beat arms but Beat laughed of that.
-Beat: Erina! After Francis! I will win this fight.
-Erina: Understood.
Erina runs after Francis.
