Chapter 55: Vinnie's Victory

Vinnie was down in the ground, in pain thanks to the poison of Gary's fake blood but then he saw a face that he knew. Alphonse was there grabbing a bottle and putting it in Vinnie's mouth.
-Alphonse: Stupid boy. You almost got killed, luckily I have an antidote for the poison. And I can handle your wounds.
-Vinnie: (drinks) Thanks.
-Alphonse: You know that Beat will put your guts as a bandana for what you've done?
-Vinnie: He won't. He will praise me.
-Alphonse: You have lost way too much blood, because you are talking nonsense. You know that he only praises that fraulien of Erina.
-Vinnie: True.
Alphonse grabs Vinnie and walks out of the building.

Meanwhile, Beat is laughing. Hisagi looks at him confused.
-Beat: You are free now, pal. Your info will come handy to use. And your skills can be useful, so join us.
-Hisagi: How do you know that Big Papa is dead?
-Beat: Simple. If this building has not fell apart thanks to Alphonse weapons, it means that Vinnie has won.
-Hisagi: Who is that Alphonse?
-Beat: A german cyborg.
-Hisagi: Truly a band of mavericks.
-Beat: I know, I know. I could pull off a joke of german, english and american right now. Or german, japanese and american.
-Hisagi: So now, what?
-Beat: Or you die with honor or I capture you. Which will it be?
Hisagi raises both of hands and Beat captures him. Later he takes him to the police.

Some weeks pass and thanks to Hisagi, half of the underworld has fallen and his reward was freedom and a place to work in White Hope. Beat accepted gladly and made sure that Hisagi was treated from his overuse of drugs. The people who ended sick thanks to the drugs were healed unless a pair that died because they were treated way too late but the family of that pair of dead recieved countless helps by the government and by White Hope. So in the long term all was fixed. Still Beat had a newbie but did not want to train him so he left Hisagi with Vinnie. Even Sylvia tried to avoid that but Beat is like that.
Vinnie was trying to kill Hisagi but Beat aimed his gun at Vinnie's head.
-Beat: You kill him, I kill you. Got it?
-Vinnie: You think I care?
-Beat: Yeah, you don't care. But you think I'll kill you quickly?
-Vinnie: You won't. Why you left him live? He is a murderer.
-Beat: He is loyal to those who saved his life. And he can work for us.
Vinnie sighed and stopped trying to kill Hisagi.

After some weeks, Hisagi and Vinnie started being friendly with each other. Oddly but seems that after Beat talked to Vinnie, Vinnie tried to live and let live. Some say that Sylvia helped with her usual gunshots, others say that Hisagi managed to get help from Sylvia to fix the mess he caused. But the only thing that people know is that Sylvia loves Hisagi's cooking and sake.

Meanwhile, in the mayor's office, Francis is getting angry by the moment.
-Francis: How he dares to stop Big Papa!? I lost a lot! Luckily I have something more but my funds for the elections won't sprout out of the earth!
-???: No. But I have an idea.
-Francis: You always have ideas. But not for that all of them are good!
-???: This one is good but Bell won't approve of it. Think in insurances. Life insurance.
-Francis: Interesting. Tell me more.
Francis looked at the seat where a werewolf was sitting. The werewolf was tall, wore a suit, had white fur and golden eyes.
