Monster Hunters: Beat Grave and Erina Hell's Adventures.

Chapter 34: Erina First Kill.

Beat kept aiming his gun at Darmi while Darmi was just smiling.
-Darmi: We can crack your safe floor, Beat.
-Beat: Erina can shoot. Your people will withstand a turret shooting like crazy?
-Darmi: Smartass. You know that a turret with explosive bullets will make us ash before we can even say we lose.
-Beat: That is the reason behind putting those turrets. You killed Rose. I wanted to invite you there and shoot around 200 bullets to your body. As payback.
-Darmi: You really took it hard that I killed her.
-Beat: Don't give me that talk. I know that she loved you. And being killed by you was a good way to die for her. But... (Tears start coming out from Beat's eyes) She really did not deserve to die for Francis objective... After this, maybe I end up shooting him down.
-Darmi: And you got involved in this again without wanting.
-Beat: Yeah. But Francis...
-Darmi: About that, I'll have to do something. You spared me and my clan would not forgive me if I did not pay back that favour. Let this old man handle this.
-Beat: You aren't old!
-Darmi: Don't flatter me, you crazy bastard.
Darmi leaves and Beat keeps drinking.

Meanwhile, White Hope was being attacked by the vampires but they couldn't kill any monster hunter and they were losing this fight by far.
Alphonse with his cyborg body killed 5 out of 25 vampires that were attacking. Sylvia killed 6 vampires, and the rest were taken out by other monster hunters that were in White Hope unless 2 of them that escaped and went to the fifth floor and threw and EMP grenade. The EMP made that the door opened and the vampires went inside the safe place.
Erina looked the vampires entering and prepared to shoot them but her hands were trembling. It was hard for her to kill someone. But right now, what choice she had?
Erina grabbed her gun and shot a vampire in the head but the vampire did not die and smiled.
-Erina: Stop or I'll shoot you again!
-Vampire: When a vampire drinks human blood, he becomes harder to kill. Try to kill me, go on. Or follow your grandfather orders. The second choice is easier.
-???: And there's the third. I burn you and she stays here.
-Vampire: Who said that!?
Then Carlo came out from the vampire's shadow and fire came out from Carlo's hands that incinerated the vampire.

Carlo's power is shadow fire. He can turn himself in a shadow and reside in someone's shadow and then he can get out of the shadow and burn the enemy. It works specially well against vampires, since they don't like fire at all.
-Carlo: Ragazza, grab the turret and shoot that problemi!
-Erina: Okay, so that turret can kill vampires. And calling a vampire a trouble is not the safest thing to do!
Erina runs to a nearby turret and aims the body of the vampire.
-Erina: Vampire, surrender! You can't win!
-Vampire: I'm from Dareen Clan, I won't let a human to order me around!
The vampire started running towards Erina but then she shoots the vampire lots of times and all the bullets explode, leaving no trace of the body of that vampire. Erina fell to the ground and her hands were trembling a lot. Carlo knew that the vampire was the first monster that Erina had to kill.
-Carlo: Erina, are you fine?
-Erina: Not at all. Not at all. I'm scared. I killed a man. I killed someone!
-Carlo: (Sighs) First timer?
-Erina: Yes.
-Carlo: When I killed my first monster, I felt the same. But Beat slapped me and told me to get up. That the case ends when you write the report.
-Erina: That's true... Leave me alone, please.
-Carlo: Okay. Time to find the kid.
Carlo turned himself in a shadow and left.

Beat went back to White Hope and before someone could stop him, he went to the safe place. He saw Erina crying. He knew that she had killed someone. He just hugged her without saying nothing.
-Erina: What are you doing? (Sobs)
-Beat: Hugging a girl who is crying. You have a shoulder to cry now. And you'll have it always. In the end, I won't die anytime soon.
-Erina: (smiles and tries to talk while sobbing) You know how... to make a girl laugh.
-Beat: That's a good start! You know what they say: Making a girl laugh is the first step to make her love you!
-Erina: I never heard that.
-Beat: Well. About what happened... I'll grab Francis. He is involved in this.
-Erina: So you were right... He's after me.
-Beat: Well, today we learned something! That door needs to be EMP proof!
-Erina: You forgot about that.
-Beat: My mistake. Let me make up for that. Maybe a dinner together?
-Erina: Strike when your opponent is down. Nice strategy.
-Beat: For once that I want to make up for a mistake!
-Erina: Okay, okay.
-Beat: I'm sorry for what you had to pass through.
-Erina: Stop saying sorry. You warned me that someday I'd kill a monster.
-Beat: Yeah. Sometimes is better and safer. But you taught me that it isn't true always.
-Erina: Well, we both learned. That's a good thing, no?
-Beat: Look at you, already fine! Keeping someone close and making a good talk does wonders on people crying! Also it is because you are strong. Stronger than Carlo that was two days in bad mood.
Carlo comes with the kid and sees Erina and Beat together.
-Carlo: Knew it. I can be glad that he did not shoot me down. But don't do anything more, not now.
-Beat: I'm not like you. I was comforting Erina.
-Carlo: Yeah, yeah. Let me have my doubts!
The kid started laughing, Beat blushes and Erina makes a little of distance with Beat. Then everybody starts laughing.
