Chapter 59: The second victim

Beat looked at Erina and knew that the culprit could easily be here. One of the two girls or Shiro would be the culprit. That made him shiver because he expected some more suspects but with only 3 the culprit was way too pressured and could do something bold. Maybe way too bold.
-Girl 1: Why are we called?
-Beat: The culprit of the death of the bald fat guy is here. You 3 can be culprit, and Shiro sucks at shooting.  So maybe you two can help us to find it.
-Girl 1: How you dare!?
-Beat: We are only the only 5 possible culprits. And from those, the only 3 with a reason are you three.
-Girl 2: So you are saying that one of us may be the culprit!
-Beat: Yep.
-Shiro: Calm as always.
-Erina: Well, it is the only way after all.
-Beat: So, can someone explain to me who is the next target. First greed, later lust.
-Shiro: It will be a girl. An actress.
-Beat: Why?
-Erina: Simple. Isabella Maythorn. The example of a traitor of the samurai units and lust itself. She was an actress before becoming a samurai. She betrayed her unit to save her beloved.
-Beat: And that will be the danger. After that, we will not know who is the next target. Am I right?
-Erina: Yes.
Then a loud femenine scream was heard by everyone. The second girl was shot in the guts and it seemed a sniper shot. Beat got up and was shot in the neck but with only one attack, he already knew where the sniper was and smiled at where the sniper was.

Then three shots more went through Beat's body.
-Beat: They do not know that I cannot die? Still good shots, all in vital parts of the body. (Sarcasm) That was scary!
-Erina: Do not go picking fights.
-Beat: Why? It is fun!
-Shiro: He is angry. If I were them... I would be praying.
-Erina: I have seem angry. That is not angry.
-Shiro: You saw his usual angry side. Seems that you are truly important for him.
-Erina: Why?
-Shiro: If he starts with his sassy sarcasm, that means that he is too angry and tries to hide it in a facade of pure sarcasm and sass.
-Erina: I never saw that side of him.
-Shiro: Well, you will see it now.
Beat grabbed his gun and aimed at the girl that was near the girl shot.
-Beat: Shoot again! I dare you! I will shoot that woman if you shoot me once!
-Shiro: Bluff.
-Erina: Why?
-Shiro: You know it.
-Erina: Don't tell me that is to show us who is behind this?
-Shiro: Yep.
Another shot was heard. This time it hit Beat's heart but he laughed at it.
-Beat: So I was wrong, the culprit is not here!
-Shiro: This is bad.
-Erina: Why?
-Shiro: Those killers gave him enough info, now he knows that we are innocent.
-Beat: And I know who is behind this. A hitman. It is not an emotional kill! It is business.
Beat smiled and went out of the room.
