The Love Affair

"The spell...is showing! We did it!" Nilingon ko si Malcolm sa aking tabi. He threw Salome's heart somewhere first before turning to me.

"Hindi pa ito natatapos dito. You still have to bring her back" masungit na sabi nito. Umirap ako. He can at least be happy dahil may improvement itong misyon namin. Although I watched how the woman who I once treated like a family die in front of me, still I think this is worth celebrating.

"What happens now?" Clad asked, I can't believe he showed up last minute to help us. Kung hindi dahil sa kanya marahil ay mabibigo ng tuluyan si Malcolm.

"Well, now it's time to make use of this little witch that we have here" tukoy sa akin ni Malcolm, "Study that spell, I want to do it tonight. But for now we should head back to Saphore, the sun is rising" napatingin ako sa kalangitan, totoo ngang nagliliwanag na. Kamangha manghang nangyari ang lahat ng iyon sa loob ng iisang gabi lamang.

Tumango ako at pumikit saka isinandal ang ulo sa salamin. Ngunit nang maramdaman ko ang kamay niyang humawak sa aking ulo at iginiya ito sa kanyang balikat ay agad na dumilat ang nanlalaking mga mata ko.

Pumasok na kami sa loob ng kanilang mansyon. Dumiretso agad ako sa couch at nahiga roon. I really want to sleep. Please just let me sleep.

"Well this is surprising" I said as I saw Morgan making coffee in the kitchen, "So you finally decided to come out of your room Morgan? Akala namin ay hihintayin na lamang naming umalingasaw ang amoy ng nabubulok mong bangkay bago namin iyon kakaladkarin palabas"

Dumiretso ako sa sink upang maghugas ng kamay. That witch's blood dried on my hands!

"Very funny, Malcolm. Saan naman kayo nanggaling?" He asked I know that he's watching me wash all the blood off my hands

I smirked saka nagpunas ng kamay at hinarap siyang nakasandal sa counter at humihigop ng kape, "Just outside, killing people" kibit balikat ko, "The usual"

Agad akong nakatanggap ng isang malutong na mura mula sa kanya bago ako inabutan ng tasa ng kape. Kinuha ko ito and took a sip from it.

"You retrieved the spell?" He asked

"Yes"

"You really did it, huh"

"Not yet. Astrid still has to stand in front of me, alive and breathing before I can say that I really did it"

"Are you...going to bring back Elizabeth too?" Nilingon ko siya ng bahagya. He's just staring at the ceiling like its the most interesting thing in the whole wide universe.

"You'll kill me if I don't, won't you?" He smirked

"You're unkillable"

"Doesn't mean you won't try" I said at saka umayos ng tayo, "Come on. I need your help" Tumayo na rin siya ng maayos at sinundan ako sa sala.

Doon naabutan namin si Clad na kinakarga si Kayla.

Bahagya pang nagulat si Clad ng makita kami roon.

"She's asleep. She'll be more comfortable in the guest room" aniya. I eyed him cautiously. It's clear that his intensions are pure. I averted my gaze to the girl she's carrying. I smirked. She's pretending to be asleep. She's the problem.

"Sure, Clad. Just leave her spell book here. Morgan wants to see it" tumango siya at itinuro kung saan nakalagay ang spell book ni Kayla. Agad itong nilapitan ni Morgan at umupo sa sofa habang sinusundan ko ng tingin ang aking kapatid na umaalis

"You don't think your brother is falling for the girl, right?" Morgan asked all of a sudden, "If that's the case, he won't be a problem once Astrid Turner is back. Di na niya kayo hahadlangan pa"

"Clad is not falling for the girl. And no, kahit may nararamdaman pa siya para kay Astrid, hinding hindi niya na kami mapipigilan pa. This time, I'll fight for her whatever the cost" ani ko as I made my self comfortable in the couch. I'm exhausted but I will not rest until she's back in my arms. Malapit na talaga, baby. Konting tiis na lang.

"I can see that" aniya sabay lipat ng atensyon sa spell book ni Kayla. Hinayaan ko siyang pag aralan iyon. I hope its not complicated. Gustong gusto ko nang makita uli si Astrid.

"This is interesting" ani Morgan makalipas ang halos bente minutong pag aaral niya nung spell. Saktong dumating si Clad at naupo sa katabi kong sofa. Nakatingin siya kay Morgan at mukhang handa na sa kung anuman ang sasabihin nito.

"What?" Clad and I both said in chorus. Kunot noo kong tiningnan si Morgan. He smirked knowingly.
