I could never forget the day when Nikolai met the girl named Karina. Nikolai and I was in the woods when we passed by a bunch of witches we know from Salem, and in their middle was Karina. Karina was a very beautiful woman. She's not a witch, that's what she said, or a human. I was hesitant to trust her at first but my brother, Nikolai was already very fond of her. He said he loves her. And one day, she returned his love. They were the most in love couple I've seen so far in the history of Salem.

He asked her hand in marriage. And she said yes. Karina lived with our family, and for some reason my family hated her. Not just my family but also the other witches do not like her. So I wonder, how could a beauty like her be hated by everyone? Only Nikolai loves her for who she is. I...really didn't mind. She was fine. So I was okay with it.

The night before their wedding Nikolai died. He went into the woods that night and was attacked by the night monster. His blood was drained off his body. On their supposed wedding day, we buried Nikolai. Karina chose to stay after. She was crying on the grave of her beloved. I asked her to stand up but she refused to. So I stayed with her. I watched her grieve for the love that she lost. I watched her swear to bring it back again. At that moment I did not understand. I thought she has gone mad! But three days after Nikolai's death, he came back in blood and flesh. Everyone was shocked! Even I couldn't believe that the dead has come back! Beside my brother, I saw a joyful Karina. And there I knew she did something. And I didn't know how awful it was until I've heard news of murders around town. Multiple witches was slain. Everyone was scared.

A month passed after Nikolai's return everything seemed normal except from the murders. I was left alone at home with Karina. Mother, father and Nikolai went out on a business. I was making fire outside when suddenly Karina appeared behind me. She was holding a dagger.

"Do you love your brother, Nikolas?" That's what she asked me.

"Yes" I answered, I do. I love my brother.

"I love him too. So much" my forehead creased, she's acting really, really weird.

"What is this all about, Karina? Why are you holding a dagger?" I asked

"He wanted more in exchange for letting Nikolai stay alive. I could give him that but now he wanted you"

"Who's he?"

"Rocco. He wants your life in exchange of your brother's. If you love him, you'll let me kill you. I'm sorry, Nikolas"

She walked towards me. At that young age I didn't know what to do so I just waited for her to attack but Nikolai came and pushed Karina away from me. He saved me.

He demanded answers from Karina. She gave it to him. She said she created a spell and made a bargain with Rocco that is why she was able to complete the spell that brought my brother back. When my brother learned that Karina was the one who murders people, and was about to kill me because of Rocco's order, he killed himself in front of Karina and me.

Karina disappeared on that same night and I never saw her again. However, the spell she created sparked an interest in me. I tried to learn it from scratch. And I also learned how powerful and dangerous it could be. And I wonder, what if there is a way to enhance the spell she created? I could bring Nikolai back!

I spent years of researching and enhancing Karina's resurgere. And I learned that the only way to make it perfect is through Rocco, he's the gatekeeper of the underworld. He was just like Karina.

It is his blood. The one who wishes to bring someone back from the dead has to drink Rocco's blood, and must be killed after to be able to go to the underworld. He has to find the soul he wants to resurrect there and make them drink the blood of Rocco to be able to go back to the land of the living. Ang dugo ni Rocco sa kanilang sistema ang siyang magpapabalik sa kanila sa mundo ng mga buhay. A witch from the Rivera bloodline has to chant Karina's spell over and over again until everyone is back.

"So all we have to do is to find Rocco, also Kayla has to memorize the chant of Karina's spell" ani Clad sa aking tabi

I sighed, "This is an unending game of finding who and finding what" It's exhausting, "Where am I going to find that bastard named Rocco?" If he's like Karina, then he's a strygx. He must be powerful as f uck too.
