I made it back to Sans and the others and explained what was going on. I know Michael can't finish all of that in a couple of days, I just needed him to occupy himself until we were ready to go.
"we goin back to the surface?" Sans looks at me weird.
"Well it's not like you guys were actually trapped down here." I chuckle. "But yeah, we're gonna be living in my mom's house."
"when are we goin?" He asks.
"Shouldn't be long." I say. We start packing stuff up and so do the others in town. I know this might not be the best idea considering the monster, human thing, but we can hold our own. It takes us and everyone else about two or three days to pack everything up and we get moving. They take the long way around and our little family, we take my way. The sun beats down through the trees and I can hear the sound of faint hammering. 'He's still at it.' I lead them through the woods and a wolf comes out of no where, playfully jumping around.
"Who is this fuzzy guy?" Papyrus asks looking at him.
"Not sure, my mom named the others up here." I say. After a few minutes my house comes into view and we make our way up the stairs. "Mom! I brought the family." I say as my voice echoes through the house.
"Here I come." She calls out walking into the living room. She stops and looks at me surprised. "Monsters?" She says. "This is new."
"This is Sans and Papyrus and this here, is Little Boss." I say and mom looks at me weird.
"Little Boss?" She questions. "What is your name, your actual name."
"It's Frisk. It's nice to meet you." Little Boss reaches out to shake her hand.
"What? You never told us." Papyrus says.
"You never asked." Frisk responded and we all burst out laughing.
"Little Boss, let's go and help Michael with the building." I suggest, but Papyrus stops me.
"That is not a job for you two. Sans and I will proceed." Papyrus says grabbing Sans.
"Alright, but don't forget to mention my name. My actual name...... Ray." I say to them as they leave.
"Be careful you two." Frisk says.
"We will, Little Boss." Papyrus yells back.
"How about we make some food for their return." I suggest walking into the kitchen.
"That's a great idea." My mom says. "You know, Michael hasn't eaten anything since you left." I look over to her.
"But why?" I ask.
"Whatever those blueprints were, he's been working hard to build them. He really wants you to come back. He's been at it nonstop." She explains.
"I had no idea." I say. "If I would have known, I wouldn't have said that." I reply.
"No, don't blame yourself. He's been this way since your sudden disappearance. He's been doing his best ever since then. He didn't want to admit it, but he didn't want you to leave again and eventually he died inside." She tries to comfort me.
"Well, that's even more of a reason to cook him a meal." I say starting up the stove and pulling out the vegetables. We all started cooking, it took a lot longer than we though. The guys didn't walk back in until about 7:30 or 8:00.
"Ray......" Michael walked up to me and hugged me tightly.
"I'm sorry, Michael." I say patting his back.
"this kid has some real skill. he's finished most of the buildins already. they need to be painted and decorated, but the structure is completed." Sans says wiping the sweat off of his skull.
"I'm going to go shower. You coming Little Boss?" I ask and heads turn a little too quick.
"Yeah, start the water, I'll be up in second." LB Responds. Then heads quickly shift.
"Wait, what?" Michael looks confused.
"I haven't gotten to shower with ya yet and the kid gets a turn before me." Sans says and they look at him.
"Fine, you big baby. Tomorrow night. This is just normal between me and Little Boss." I reply.
"What?!" Michael exclaims and looks up at me.
"What? We used to take bathes together." I say laughing.
"Yeah, when we were little. This is obviously a grown man...... skeleton." He says and I shrug.
"You're over reacting." I say and head upstairs to the bath to start the water. I then go to my room and pull out some clothes to sleep in and some slippers. As I make my way back I see Little Boss coming up the steps and we both enter the bathroom.
"Wow, you have a big bathroom." LB says looking around.
"I never realized how big it was until now. After being away for so long." I reply realizing how far apart the walls were. The bathroom was big enough to be a bedroom complete with a dresser and full size bed. It starts to get steamy and fog up and we make out into the water.
"You know, I know about it." LB says grabbing the soap.
"Know what?" I ask grabbing the shampoo.
"About you and Sans. Most people seem pretty oblivious to it seeing as though you're super friendly to everyone."
"Well, I'm fine with you knowing. Actually, I don't know how much longer we can keep this under wraps." I say sighing as I was my hair.
"This being a mafia and all, you two need to be careful. That's a definite card they'll pull."
"I know, but we've managed this long. Everyone thinks that we're partners so whenever we're out, it's almost like we're on business instead of a date." I explain.
"Well, that's good. But your brother, Michael, why did you say that so freely in front of him?"
"It's not like he can do anything, I'm an adult." I say shrugging as I finish rinsing my hair and grab the towel and soap.
"That's true, but consider how he feels. He hasn't seen you in a long time. He just wants to spend time with you."
"I know, but he's only acting this way because of the incident." I add.
"Apparently after I fell down to where ever I was, he blamed himself for it and it caused something in him to change." I explain.
"I see."
"Yeah." Suddenly we hear a crash and we both jump. We look at each other and get out. We both grab a towel and run downstairs to see Michael standing over Sans.
