Chapter: 63

The next morning, Sans and I awake and get dressed. I make sure I wear something casual, but nice, a little red sundress. We head downstairs and grab a light breakfast and disappear, he drops me on the outskirts of town and then heads straight over to MCC. I meet up with Tony at the Alate Gamma cafe just a block or two over from MCC.

"Hey sweet heart, you ready to put this plan into motion?" He asks me.

"I'm all set." I say walking in the direction of the building and he follows behind me. We reach the building a few minutes later and he waits across the street, watching from a safe distance. I walk inside and take a deep breath, looking around and all the familiar faces.

"Hey boss." A few of the monsters say as I walk in the building.

"You guys sure do stay working." I say chuckling.

"Well yeah, since everything is up and running, we don't want anything to fail. Muffet has expanded the Cafe and Ms. Brandy was wondering if she could open a hotel or two." One monster says.

"Of course she can. It would be nice to see humans and monsters sleeping in the same building for once. Tell her to take as much as she needs to make it look as attractive as possible." I reply smiling and I see Sans get off the elevator.

"heya pup, ya ready for this?" He asks.

"The quicker we do this, the quicker I get to kill him." I say handing Sans my wallet. I walk out of the door and turn around. "Thanks again for your time." I say loud enough for Tony to hear me before walking in a random direction.

"hey, uh lady." Sans calls from behind, but I keep walking. "lady! ya dropped ya wallet." He says grabbing my shoulder and I turn around acting surprised. I notice Tony cross the street and stand near a corner.

"Thank you so much sir. Look, if you're not busy, how about we grab a drink?" I ask looking him in the eye sockets.

"yeah, i don't think my boss would mind me bein gone for a few minutes." He says. "where are we goin?"

"Alate Gamma. If that's okay with you." I reply.

"oh yeah, i heard that place is great and it's only two blocks over." He says and we start walking, Tony isn't too far behind. We walk inside and Tony follows behind us, grabbing a table one booth over. We take a seat after him and begin the conversation.

"so, do ya live around here?" He asks and I chuckle.

"I do actually, fairly close. What about you?" I ask.

"yea, same here. so, where do ya work?" He asks me.

"I don't have a job, but I'm looking. Is your place hiring?" I ask looking around and catching a glimpse of the intrigued Tony.

"i'm sure we can find somewhere for ya to work in our building. After all, ya do stand out with the ears and tail, it really suits ya." He says and I nod.

"Thank you. I actually didn't catch your name." I say.

"cuz i didn't throw it yet." He replies and I start laughing. "the name's sans, sans the skeleton. it is a pleasure to meet ya." He says.

"I'm Esmerelda." I reply and the look on his face makes me burst out laughing. Tony looks at me weird and I try to calm down. "I'm sorry Sans, the look on your face was priceless though."

"i can't believe ya actually did that." He says chuckling and shaking his head. "anyways, i can talk to my boss to see if i can get ya job there. ya wanna check it out now?" He asks and I glance at Tony and he nods his head.

"Yeah, that sounds great." I say standing up from the table and Sans and I walk to toward the door. Tony follows behind us, but Sans teleports before he catches up and we end up at MCC.

"was that good enough?" Sans asks.

"Yeah, at least get to be here for a while. I'm sick and tired of that bastard, but I'm going to make him take me to the Casino in return for me doing this crap." I say stretching.

"Hey boss, where do you want this next shipment?" One of them asks me.

"Umm, I don't know. Ask LB, they are normally pretty good about placement and stuff. Oh, and Papyrus should be doing inventory so he can help with that." I reply patting their head.

"Alright Boss." They say and walk off.

"Come on, let's go tell dad what we're up to." I say running toward the elevator and he follows behind me. I use the voice activation and we begin to descend to the bottom of the of the basement. We hop off and I run into the lab and right into Gaster's arm causing his lab coat to fly up.

"Alpha? What are you doing here?" He asks me.

"I haven't seen you in a long time, I missed you." I say.

"I missed you too." He says hugging me back.

"Plus, I'm doing this thing with another mafia. He thinks I'm helping him get the scoop on the monsters here, you know, helping them figure out who the boss is." I say and he starts chuckling.

"Well, he's in for a hell of a surprise." He replies rubbing my head.

"I know right." I say letting him go. "I'd better make my way back up and head out before he throws a fit and shoots the place up."

"yea, we gotta go doc. it was good seein ya again." Sans says.

"Why don't you call him dad?" I ask.

"uh, well....... i have my reasons." He replies and I just shrug. "c'mon, it's been about twenty, maybe thirty minutes already."

"Alright. See ya dad." I say before following Sans back onto the elevator and we take it up to the main floor. I kiss Sans on the forehead and head toward the front door forcing a fake smile on my face. I run across the street where I see Tony waiting at the same spot.

"How'd it go?" He asks me as he looks over at the building.

"I got the job!" I say squealing to make it seem believable. "I can go in tomorrow."

"That's great! We're going to get them now." He says smirking.

"You have no idea." I smile back.
