Chapter: 23

We reach a large room, very spacious and we stop to take a quick break, not that we needed it. Alpha takes a deep breath and I knew what that meant.

"it's a trap?" I ask knowing the answer.

"Yup." She replies.

"Well, we'd better go ahead and get this over with. I'm sure these guys are tough, but remember, we have determination." LB says and we all giggle. We make our way to the center of the room before the lights turn on.

"I figured they'd send someone to pick up the hostages we stole from them, but I didn't expect three mages." A voice echoes and a man approaches slowly. "I'm sure you came here for these two." He says revealing Michael and mom both being held by guys behind him. "Unfortunately, we need these two in order to get what we want. I'm sure you're wondering what it is so I'll tell you." He says and the three of us take a seat on the ground and makes a weird face before moving on. "Well, it's a short story actually. Incorporeal stole these two because they wanted to capture someone special. They were being monitored for months and suddenly they disappeared without a trace. Suddenly, all these monsters show up and they're going in the same direction. It's obvious now that the one we are looking for is back, we just need to find them." He explains and we all nod our heads.

"You're kidding me, these guys are suppose to steal us back. They've been caught already." Michael says. "We're going to die."

"Michael don't talk like that." Mom says. "Just have hope."

"Hope won't save you two here. Only a savage beast can at this point and I don't see one anywhere." He says. "Well, I have business to attend to in my office. These guys will end your life soon enough." He says walking off. We hear a door off in the distance slam shut and we get up and stretch.

"I can't tell the good guys from the bad guys anymore." Michael says. "I know these guys are idiots, they walked right into a trap."

"Michael, we're gonna be fine." Mom tries to comfort him.

"Mom, there's like 30 of them." He retaliates.

"Don't worry, it'll be quick and painless." One of the guys say. "Alright, you know what the Boss wants us to do." They all walk at us, guns ready to fire. You know how this goes, LB goes Big Boss and Alpha goes Wolf and me, I do something different this time. From the side, two blasters catch them off guard, getting rid of part of the problem While the other guys are in a state of shock, LB and Alpha go at it. LB started hacking limbs off, arms, legs, eye gouging, you name it, she did it. Alpha, she did the thing. She bashed heads in the ground, took out hearts, sliced a few peoples faces, but the best one, the best thing was when she put a hole in two peoples body while round house kicking someone's head off. I took care of the others, placing a few bones here and there, and by that I chose either straight through the eye sockets, the chest, or just blasted them. The room was covered in blood, we sure do know how to make a mess. We approach Michael and Mom.

"Please don't kill us. We don't know anything, we don't where whoever you're looking for is either." Michael says.

"Please let us go." Mom pleads.

"But you do know the whereabouts of the person we are looking for." I hear LB say in that murdery voice.

"Look, I'll give you all the money I have, just please don't kill us." Michael starts crying. That was the moment Alpha broke out in laughter.

"LB drop the creepy voice. They're going to have a heart attack." She says.

"Oh right." The voice still in tone. "Sorry." Our LB finally returns. We all remove our hoods from heads and the looks on their face was priceless.

"Ray?" My mother looks at me.

"no reunions down here." I say grabbing Ray and LB's hand and they grab Michael and Mom's. I teleport us back to house and we all let out a sigh of relief.

"Brother, are you home?" Papyrus says peeking out of his room. "Mom! You're back!" He makes his way down.

"Wait, wait, I just witnessed my daughter kill people and you expect me to just remain calm?" She says.

"No, I don't expect that. I didn't know how to tell you and I didn't want to lie. I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner, I ju---"

"Ray stop." She says approaching me. "Look, you did it to save us. I'm glad you're safe, but please tell me you won't do this again. Ray, please." She looks up at me and I sigh.

"Mom, I can't make that promise. I'm sorry." Her voice was sad, but firm like she knew that was coming.

"I figured you'd say no. I thought you were joking when you said you were in a mafia, but I guess you were telling the truth." Her mother almost in tears.

"Promise me this then." Her mother says. "Don't kill unless you have to, only to protect the ones you care about." She adds and Ray nods head.

"Alright mom, I promise." Ray says smiling softly. "Now that this is out of the way, mom I'm sorry, but there's a time for when I'm Ray and there's a time for when I have to the Alpha."

"now then, ya guys won't be here long. we have to take ya back to Inc." I say cutting to the chase.

"But why?" Michael questions.

"cuz we don't need them thinkin we're goin to betray them when they still have a little time. Then on top of that, fontaine's gonna be breathin down our necks." I explain.

"Yeah. Unfortunately for you guys, there's probably going to be another blood bath, but if I can keep you two away from it, I'll try." Alpha says.

"no guarantees though. we're gonna take ya back tomorrow night so they don't get suspicious, but for now, we're all together so let's have dinner." I say smiling and Mom heads to the kitchen with Michael. "come on ya two, let's go get cleaned up."
