The Alpha League [ Completed ]

Chapter: 21

We arrive at the building, it was quite out there. It seemed like a regular company, but according to what she was telling, obviously something's going on here. She takes out her phones for a second and we wait outside for a while.

"So, I texted the guy that's in this little shenanigan and told him about you and the other two people you mentioned. He said that he would like to meet you and the other two and see what kind of skills you got." She says.

"a'ight. sounds good." I say pulling out my and texting those two. We stand out side for a minute or so before they drop in from the sky with their faces covered.

"I'm assuming these are your friends. I see they're just like you, hiding their faces." She says chuckling. "Well, let's get going." She enters the building and we follow behind her. She guides us to an elevator and we get on. She pulls out an ID card swipes it and hits a few buttons and we start going down, then sideways, then backwards. The elevator rotates for a second and then stops and the doors open. The place was well furbished, like one of those nice cafe with couches and table furniture completed with modern art sculptures and paintings on the wall. The floor was white tile with a few random black ones here and there.

"this place actually looks really nice. are ya sure this corporation is full of gang members?" I question.

"Yeah, they keep it pretty clean around here. Come on, follow me. I'll take to you to the room where you will be tested." She says leading us down the long hallway. In every corner there was a camera watching our every move. "Alright, here we are." She says opening the door and motioning us inside. We all enter the brightly lit white room and the door shuts.

"Welcome guests! We have a variety tests you will be taking. Try not to die okay. Oh and try your best, the boss is watching." A voice over the intercom says and we get ready. We wait for a while, but nothing happens so we continue waiting, but still, nothing happens. I'm fine with it though, so I take a seat against the wall, Alpha curls up beside me, and LB curls up beside her. We all ended up dozing and suddenly something started coming at us and fast too. I could tell Alpha and LB were aware, but we didn't move. Alpha shifted a little just before they reached us and they tripped on her leg, falling full force onto the floor.

"hope ya had a nice trip." I say and we start laughing.

"See you next fall." Alpha and we almost lose our shit laughing.

"Seems like you guys won by sheer luck! Let's move, things are going to get a little more difficult now." He says and it cuts off. LB pulls out a deck of cards, thank goodness. We hear the door open and close, but we ignore it.

"Um, you guys...... you're suppose to be proving yourselves." The girl from earlier pops in.

"nothin's happenin so we decided to play a quick game of cards." I reply. "oh ya better be careful, they got some animals in here." She turns around and sees wolves walking toward them. She starts to panic, but I motion her to sit down. "calm down, we'll be fine."

"How?! They're walking this way." She says with worried expression on her face.  She sits next to me and scoots in closer, making me kind of uncomfortable.

"ease up there, lady." I say looking at her. The wolves get closer and closer until they're basically in their faces. They lie down near Alpha and LB and watch the game.

"Uh..." She looks around us and then at the wolves. "These are viscous animals from the wild, why are they not attacking?"

"oh, i didn't tell ya that my friend was raised by wolves. let's just call 'em the alpha of the pack." I say chuckling.

"It seems as though the boss wants to speed the process up and so we'll be cranking this up a few notches. Get the canines outta there." The voice says and people walk in to reclaim the canines, but they immediately attack. "Someone stop them!" The voice calls, but no one entered the room. Alpha stood up and whistled and they all stopped. With one hand gesture, they stood at attention and with another, they sat. She motioned them to walk toward the door and they did just that. "Uh..... thanks. Now we shall move on." He says and the chick leaves out with the canines.

"well, since they're skipping to the end, i don't see a reason we should go full out." I say standing up and stretching. LB and Alpha do their dog stretches before starting. They send in some pretty tough looking guys, each of them has their own weapon to differentiate their abilities and they seem to be more advanced than the last guys we fought. They come straight for us, but it's nothing major, pretty easy. A few of them come at me and I dodge 'em careful not to kill anyone yet. I can see Alpha and LB dancing around these guys too which makes it more fun, this means we have the same idea. "time to end this charade." I say still dodging the attacks.

...... Alpha drops to the floor and the plan is initiate

LB goes murderous psycho, slaughtering everything in the area. Alpha goes digging, but not for bones, but intestines. I keep my magic to myself so as not to alert any of these humans. The remaining few in the room are split up between Alpha and LB even though they're trying to get away. They both finish the last guy off with a combo and boy did his guts go flying everywhere. His head came flying right in my direction. Those two are some real savages.

"This was very interesting! I shall be with you all in a moment to discuss the results." The voice cuts and we resume our game of cards.

"that was a good round ya two." I say and I hear them laughing. "ya know i really miss the sounds of ya voices. it's been so long." I sigh. The door opens and the sound of wet footsteps comes our way.

"Hello you three." He says bending over to greet us. "My name is Jeff, what about you all."

"those two don't talk much round strangers. my name, jus call me B the person across from me is A and the person next them is L." I say and I hear muffled laughter.

"Letters for names...... well, I guess that's fine. After all, you all did pass." He says.

"thanks.... can we leave?" I ask.

"Not yet, you have a task." He says and we all look up at him.
