Chapter: 46

~ Alpha's P.O.V ~

"Ray! Are you home?" My mother calls to me.

"Yes mom, I'm back. Sorry I was gone." I say to her.

"Papyrus isn't here right now, he went with all the other monsters. You know, I thought you were here last night. I could smell you." She says hugging me.

"Mom, you're getting used to the scent thing. That's good." I say hugging her back. "I need to head to the building and check on everyone."

"Alright dear, I'll see you later on tonight then." She says as I walk out the door waving.

"Are you guys coming with?" I ask the three of them standing outside the doorway.

"Yeah." LB says locking arms with me and Aurora does the same. Sans places his hands on my shoulder and we teleport to the building.

"hey pup, we gotta tell ya somehin." Sans says.

"Don't worry, it'll be over soon enough. I promise." I say glaring back at them. "I'll decorate the outside with her."

"Woah. Calm down. Who are you talking about?" Aurora asks looking extremely confused.

"She's talking about her mom." LB says and Aurora's face immediately turns into a shocked expression. "Can't blame her. She killed Knight and hurt two others, so she basically challenged the Alpha." LB explains.

"Well, let's get going." I say smiling as I make my into the building. "Morning everyone!"

"Morning Boss!" They all say and immediately get back to work. We head up to my office and begin to discuss.

"What are we going to do about Alate Gamma?" I ask aloud.

"What information do we have on them?" LB asks.

"not a damn thing." Sans says.

"Alate Gamma? I've heard a few things about them from a friend whose boss did a partner thing with them. The bosses name is Mason and he's all for science and stuff, but the illegal kind. Apparently he just ordered a new shipment of equipment that comes in soon. They plan on ambushing someone, but I don't know who." Aurora says and we all look at her. "What?"

"Don't underestimate the power of gossip." LB says shaking her head.

"Thanks, but we need to know when the shipment comes in if we want to get the drop on them." I say looking around. Aurora looks at her phone for a few minutes then she looks up with a smile.

"Tonight. It comes in tonight." She says. "I asked one of the guys who knows one of the other guys in the gang if he was free and he said he had to pick something up from the docks for someone."

"Holy shit, you're a god." I say. "I never believed those cheesy movies with the super coincidences, but damn."

"What time is it now?" LB asks.

"almost noon. we don't know the exact time, but we do know where and the time of day. i say we head there round 6:00 at the latest." Sans says and we all agree.

"Do you want to go? You can stay here with the monsters if you'd like." I say looking at Aurora.

"I wanna go, but I don't wanna be the one that slows you guys down either." She says softly. "Maybe I should stay."

"Don't talk nonsense. If you want to go, you can. We'll be there with you every step of the way." I reply comforting her.

"Are you sure it's alright for me to go?" She asks looking at me.

"Of course it is silly, I don't see a reason to say no." I say giving her a gentle smile.

"Alright. I have a few tricks up my sleeve, I hope they're helpful." She says smiling back at me.

"Well, let's introduce you to Gaster." I say getting out of my seat and heading toward the elevator. I use the voice activation panel and we descend down to the basement of the building. Aurora looks a little worried and sticks close to me, almost like a frightened child. "Hey dad, we brought on someone new today."

"Alpha, when did you get back? I haven't seen you for almost two days." I hear his voice and follow the sound into a side room behind the main lab. Aurora freezes and drops to her knees.

"Yeah..... forgot to mention my dad works on things like these." I say pointing to the Gaster Blaster. "Who is this little guy?"

"He should be very familiar to you." He says and I get closer to him.

"Knight?" I look at the floating skull head. "Well, at least you won't be dying again. That, I can promise."

"So, who is this young lady cowering behind you?" He asks.

"This is Aurora. She's the new intel gatherer, seeing she's been in many mafia gangs." I say.

"Are you sure we can trust her if she's been jumping from mafia to mafia? She may lead to our downfall." He says and she cringes a little.

"If she threatens us, she's not hard to deal with. Besides, I doubt she'd do that in the first place. After all, she knows better than to cross me of all people." I reply.

"Of course. Any who dares cross you would not last a second. Now, did you need something?" He asks.

"Nothing in particular." I say aloud. "Oh! Did you get the equipment for the dogs?"

"I did and I checked out the model to see if I can make improvements, but of course I can improve something humans make." He says and I start laughing.

"How is muffet doing with the Café part of business?" I ask.

"She's doing just fine. She's been expanding the business quite rapidly. We have opened Cafés in various parts of town." He says.

"Woah, Muffet works fast. Then again, mention something about making money and she's all over it." I say chuckling.

"Where is Papy?" I ask.

"He's on LB's floor talking to the class about attacks." He says.

"Alright. Tell him to make that delicious spaghetti for me to eat tonight." I reply.
